I won a car recently, baru saja dapat the full thing. Thanks to YES 4G (actually YTL) and Proton partnership, so I got the unique YES 4G Internet Car.

How do I value the car w.r.t the original car? Its slightly modified (added sound system + bluetooth audio + 18-inch sports rims + tinting + 3 ipads), but I dunno how to calculate the value of those modifications.

I'm not planning on driving it much also, so dunno how much depreciation from 2nd-hand (my name already on the ownership card).

Advise from sifu please. Or suggest another place I can find information.

I think you can check from the insurance, amount

I was a previous owner of Proton. I was told that my car lose around RM8k after leaving the showroom. You then add whatever depreciation formula

for quickest method, take it to any car dealer (honda, toyota) then cincai pick 1 car. tell them u r interested to trade in and ask them to value ur car. they usually can give the answer on the spot. add 5-10% to it (depending on dealer and car) and u will get the rough market price

before you sell it off in the market, see if there is a family member/relatives that you can help... sell it to them at a reasonable price, it will help them... and also help keep the car in the family.

Dealers don't care about the mods or add-ons. You'll need to find a direct buyer who can appreciate it.

Remove the i-pads if u can from the car. you aint gonna get extra value from them being in it. your better of selling them separately.

why dont you keep it within a year, sell now or sell later that year also at the same value. If im not wrong. Maybe if u keep it for few month, u fall in love with it and decided not to sell?

Have you carefully check whether you are 'allowed' to sell the car?

I recalled that some competition, after you win the car back home, you have to some how 'use' or 'owned' it for a year, or some other weird T&C.

No such T&C, nor did I sign any agreement with YES or Proton concerning that. Yeah I was quite careful to check that as I would expect such T&C as well.

OMG, those ipad installation is so ah-beng-ish,better take them off & sell separately...FAST, 'cos IT thingy very fast obsolete...but then take them off means need to restore the car back.... don think it is cheap to buy the center console & seat covers...good luck !
