Hi guys..with panel antenna..usb modem TX value just set to 5 or lower enough..because the usb modem after plug in to panel antenna..build in TX is useless already..

And after that modem more stable and less hot..speed also same without TX 27..

Test by myself..modem won't DC anymore..signal also doesn't got big change

Yup, MF680 is like this. It is a good modem except for the heat issue

While E372 TX is the total output power when I set to low TX it can't drive the antenna properly for unknown reason sweat.gif

i thought all modem also same.. blink.gif look like MF680 is the nice modem smile.gif

that time when i set it to TX 1 without antenna,it will force change to EDGE..after plug in the antenna 3G signal come back already..compare with TX 27 doesn't got big change..so im direct set it back to TX 1..and then dismantle all the cover also silver panel together..then blow it with fan doesn't got heat issue already rclxms.gif

but something is weird..when i take off the silver panel just got a lot of chipset only..dunno cover it for what use blink.gif

That is an antenna as well which need to be in contact with the gold plate

That should be installed but some users may find no difference either installed or removed

ya you right..but when plug in antenna that things no use anymore already..i think the heat issue is come from that silver panel..because cover with it how can release the heat rclxub.gif

best solution ( if u are dare enough + Adventures enough, )

open up cover, Add heatsink on front hot area, use a fan blowing at it,

above solution confirm power because i did it to my maxis set E372 ( which already handicap due to top part break off from the whole piece of board )

the Panel antenna + CRC9 convertor + E372 (open front cover add heatsink on it ) + direct plug in USB port + connect to UMTS900

due to my area UMTS2100 tower haywire only performs 3G 384Kbps only  doh.gif

lucky UMTS900 is still quite amazing consider yesterday my speed is 0.3~0.8Mbps only  sweat.gif

when you open e372 cover, you need to have the smallest special shape screw driver to unscrew 3 screw. E372 cover is very tight. Need to be super careful and slow + gentle.
