Increasing TX power got nothing to do with speed drop
Try restart a few times if fail then revert nod.gif

i think my ZTE MF680 much more happy with this tweak than my E372,..

i guess ZTE MF680 is a power hunger like Option Icon,.. hmm.gif

after tweak E372 effect is so so similar like before,

but for ZTE MF680, consistency is really there, very stable compare to before up down ding dong for sure

thanks for sharing Blacktubi thumbup.gif

I am using MF680 and the funny thing is after the tweak, the signal strength dropped to 54% from 64% in MR3420. Heat is not an issue because I have a panasonic stand fan blowing at number 3 24/7 and its actually very cool to touch

Added on October 8, 2012, 12:38 amOk, I tried it again and repositioned my router a little bit, now I am getting same speed as 26 and 23. Maybe my tower is already at max

normally me with no star IP speed around 9~11Mbps,..

result is after tweaking with the QPST blacktubi method on no star IP

hi.. newbie here..
how do u actually "uninstall" old drivers/dashboard?

recently updated to new umobile mf680 driver and i lost dc-hspa+..
now it's constantly on hspa+ and blinking blue light on modem..

i tried uninstalling driver software from device manager and installed the 3 drivers, but the 3 connect mannager wont detect my modem and the umobile driver reinstalls itself after a few moments...

Firmware modification

Does firmware make a difference? Yes

-Certainly, but if you can fine tweak the Qualcomm values, any firmware is lightning fast

Does Maxis modem make a difference with Huawei modem? No

-They are all the same make by Huawei, difference is just on the firmware

Some people tell me Maxis modem is faster!  Flash Maxis firmware then.
-I can tell you latest firmware is the fastest always. ZTE is excluded!!

Does modem batch make a difference? Yes!
-U8 batch is usually the best batch for modem.

Firmware List :
*only good firmware will be posted here, don't worry for bad firmware. All here are good.
*These firmware are proven to be safe  thumbup.gif

done tweaking my 1st modem (Huawei E372)
tested on IDM downloading ubuntu ISO
telco : maxis
before tweak : HSPA+ 91dBm abit rocky speed at 2.9-3.3mbps
after tweak : HSPA+ 91dBm abit more stable at 3.3-4.1mbps

cant expect much becoz on my working table the network signal is abit bad... usually i plug my TPlink 3020 router near the office window

now the 3 connect manager detects the network, but i just cant click connect no matter how long i wait..

and the u broadband connect manager fails to connect (maybe becoz i deleted the drivers and installed the 3 drivers instead)

edit : i cant find the uninstall button for the u mobile connect manager either

edit2 : qxdm cant install, says i need internet explorer 6 or higher.
