I got a question for the Nu ver ka owners. Is the funnel's joint really flimsy? cuz mine is... compare it the the hi-nu, the hi nu is more stable.. =/
*
Really flimsy when all 6 attach but you have to remember that hi-nu more stable because it's funnels don't attach together like the Nu. There a fix tho that require a rod and some cutting internally but wont effect the the appearance of the funnel and can be removed for posing.
http://www.gaijin-gunpla.com/the-fin-funnel-fix/

Currently on mine i only attach 3 together which will not look as flimsy tho.

Since Hi-nu effect part is too small for the Nu ver ka Funnel, i decide to make it myself but i feel the line is not wide enough.

This... Tamiya Premium Side Cutter.

I'm using this and got it for RM96 during Grafitti Toys (now IT Toys) sales in 2011.

The joints on the funnel are definitely not the best thing in the world. The reason that they are that loose is to ease the disassembly and for the fact that the funnels can be arranged in any order.

If you just pose and display on your shelf, it shouldn't be a problem. You just need more patience to get your desired pose one time and then from there, it will be static

Again, things will not fall of if you do not play with that Nu gundam like you play with TF or Kamen Rider smile.gif

cutter doesnt need to buy the expensive one
the cheap one at hardware will do..

after all, it also cut well but make sure you get hobby knifes too for removing the remaining nub marks that are left

Gunpla plastic is not hard, practically any cutter will do.

Those hardware shop one are meant for more heavy duty stuff like cutting metal sheets, using it to cut gunpla is like cutting tofu with a katana. Overkill, but there nothing wrong with it. I've use it numerous times the only problem I hav is the cutter head is abit big, some parts hav tight space on the runner and those cutter may not reach it. Buy the smaller head cutter if u plan to buy em from hardware shop.

LOL... If you don't want to spend big bucks on a modelling cutter then don't get started and use what you can get from hardware shop or even a nail clipper would do wink.gif

Once you get started using the modelling cutter, there's no turning back as it is addictive tongue.gif

nail clipper cuts closer than any cutter. my combo, hardware store's multi purpose cutter (which i use to cut wires and other stuff too) and nail clipper. hobby grade cutters are over rated and not to mention over priced. plus, you can't use it for anything else. dry.gif . at least i can still cut my nails and some aluminum/zinc pieces with a budget of RM15. thumbup.gif
