Bandai is doing a great job over the new SEED kits... I'm still hoping for MG Perfect Strike instead of the MG Strike HD tongue.gif
*
that still remains to be seen.. i'd love to have an upgraded strike as well, but seeing as they release a HG of the perfect strike, they may not go for the MG.. here's hoping though! the current MG looks absolutely horrible beside the RG whistling.gif

Have you guys ever had any trouble deciding which version of your favourite kit to buy if it had both an MG and HG version? There were quite a few times where I'm totally sure to buy an MG version for one particular Mobile Suit but ended up holding off the purchase due to having certain doubts about the kit (e.g. stability issues,... etc.). I really am satisfied with MG kits that could stand on its own without a display stand. For instance, I knew that a HG 00 Raiser can be displayed standing still with all of its weapons fully loaded without any problems, but that's not the case for the MG version. What do you think?

for me I would get the alternative version. Example, I already got HG unicorn so instead of getting the ova or ka version, I'm aiming to get the full armor version
as for 00 maybe can get the 7 sword version instead tongue.gif

It all depends on what YOU want actually, irregardless of what. Personally I will always weight my options on issues like what you have mentioned, and try to justify it's pros and cons. Weight issue is a no for me. Sagging and loose joints will later make the kit somewhat an annoyance, so I'll stay away from such. Just my 2 cents though smile.gif

I have never build the MG 00 7 sword before. Is it a stable kit?

I agree with you, bro. MGs and RGs are a blast to built.

Bro Tiger1, I'm with you on the 'weight issues' part. Kits that have trouble standing still can be quite annoying. I always try avoiding buying kits with huge backpacks, but most of the time, these are the kits that look good on my shelf or anybody's shelf.

May I know where do you guys usually go for Gunpla kit reviews aside from rrobert184 and dalong?

I only have trouble in budget when choosing MG or HG. I would prefer MG over HG, because I like to details up the inner skeleton of MG which HG don't have.
But not all Gundam have MG so I will still buy HG if I like it and create my own panel lines and details.
Most of the time I will choose MG with good articulation, I only buy bad articulation MG with fantastic look.
Most Gundam with backpack or something attached to it back usually have weight problem which limit it possibility without Action Base.
And try to avoid MG with ball joint connections. My MG Exia Ignition Mode have good articulation but bad stability during posing due to the ball joint on leg.
MG 00 7S/G is a good kit with good articulation and stability, but I don't have it because I prefer 00 Raiser. smile.gif

it's pretty stable, and not very hard to find a place for him on the shelf since he doesn't have the HUGE 0 raiser sticking out
the long sword is a bit long though but at least it won't take up as much space, and he stands much easier than the 00R

Was i surprised that Malaysia didnt win this time in GWBC ? Not really la...looking at the other entrants....the competition is very tough this year!

seems to be a lot of discussion on MG blitz and buster
1- blitz looks just so cool in all black
2- buster gundam's long cannon/sniper/gun whatever you wanna call it looks super cool when posed properly

but...why no love for MG Aegis ? looks like i am the only one looking forward to getting and building one

HxiiiK - gunpla prices dropping ? really ? which stores ah ? im looking to get the RG zeta and MG Aegis if that is true. Usually even if YEN exchange drops, prices will still hold for a while bcos supplies/stores buy at higher yen price, right

because of price variants tongue.gif now i'm looking for a RM13x-14x kit, which is around blitz and buster's range.. i absolutely love those 2 MS and am looking to get one of those
Aegis is on my list too but perhaps another time
i mentioned gunpla prices are dropping because i saw blitz for 138.. while it usually retails for 142-144, i believe? but buster in the same shop remains at 144 even thought the yen price is supposedly the same
perhaps its a "promo" going on in the shop but i'll just wait and see.. hoping to see prices drop soon and aegis fall into my price range thumbup.gif

no, it dont
the ankle quite weak since it is inherit same design from MG Quanta (try push the kit forward a bit, they will fall easily doh.gif )

since this is more like a space mobile suit, prepare yourself an action base before deciding to buy

can display with one leg on ground without problem notworthy.gif
