Apparently, item level is not determined by MF. AFAIK, it's determined by the Act you are farming. I never farm in Act1 or 2 after 1.04. Most of my legendary are pretty high item level.

Lol...I got 1 beofre and gave it to a co-op player. Yup..there is no random afflixes. You get

+STR
+VIT
+DEX
+INT
+AR

Mine came in very nice number(for chinese la). 88,86,87 and 88 with AR68.
Utterly useless ofr a ilvel 62 Amulet. Trolled by Blizzard...smile.gif

Guess you lucky lor. I farm Act 3 most of lagendaries are 60. Heck got 1 52 b4.

from my point of view, MF is useless.

last time, i used to think that since im doing paragon levels and it'll not make much difference of the XP i gain with the 25% bonus during the plvl20+ stages, might as well equip MF to farm legendaries on the way to plvl50 or so. But what i found out is, even tho i have near 300% MF, i usually do not get any legend drops for consecutive days till up to a week. and i do farm alot... i do full A3 runs and kill almost every mob.

then my thinking start changing. I realise that no matter how much mf u have, the drop rates still depends on luck. becos the bonus does not affect ur chance in a huge way. if it doesnt drops, it just doesnt drops. therefore, i changed the gem back to ruby becos at least i know im getting the bonus XP for sure. It'll still be better if u swap with a GF gem, cos, it's really noticable. Well, guess what? i get more frequent legend drops with just 200mf. so, fuk mf. unless they increase the drop rate until where the %mf really has a noticable difference between 0%-whatever max % achievable, u are really wasting a socket in the helm and other affixes on ur gears.

i would prefer if they implement something like the rule where elites/bosses are confirmed to drop at least 1 rare with 5nv. make it so that with 5nv, the final act boss has a definite higher chance to drop a legend (if normal mobs are 0.01%, make it 0.1% for bosses, multiplied by ur mf% of course). something like how the keywardens/uber bosses are guaranteed to drop keys/organs in MP10 with 5nv. at least players will have something to look forward to in boss fights and will not skip them during farm runs.

i've got many many legendaries, with 0MF.

yesterday just got a Puzzle Ring.

but most of my other legendaries are either useless, or can sell for 2.00usd or so.

so i still don't really understand what is MF for.

heh...they can double it, triple it..or even quadraple it...main thing is..whether the legend is gonna roll good..
no worries....it'll just make the variance of RMAH value longer, for the piece of legend can start from 1.25 to 250.00...

bad stat roll = 1.25
superb stat roll = 250 (or if higher than 250, then it will be in gold)

Values are on stats..not on item

p/s: "Double the legend drop rate"..not a specific legend...it is any legend, those in inferno 1.05, any lvl 58 above legend.. still a long list also... no complain though..still enjoy whenever sees a brown/green drop , beat those yellow/blue biggrin.gif better than nothing

lol the legendary drop rate currently is at 0.1%???? no wonder players hardly get any set/legend drops..

0.2% is not enough mang... need like at least 1-2% baru ada feel.
