now i know why this forum has been less active recently since our loss to Altleti

average..average showing last night. Juve only start to play football when its already too late in the game

now a win at all cost is a must against Olympiakos in Turin..and hopefully another win at Sweden too..bcoz looking how they're playing in CL its hard to imagined if they can get a full 3pts against Atletico on the final matchday

Honestly im dissappointed with the result, especially during the first half, pirlo was really below par.2nd half we r so much better, but luck wasnt with us. Olympiakos keeper was on god mode. I wish when we host them(am n olympiakos) we will beat them but that is a tough, very tough job.what make me sad the most is why we can do so much better domestically but not in europe tournament?honestly why? Are we really inferior compared to others? The last time we reach final, dont remember which season, we lost in penalty against milan, it hurts till today, n nedved was unable to play in that final due to collective yellow. I wonder will i ever see our team winning the ucl again.. Im still very young when we last won the ucl, in 1996 iinm.
*
Juve only start to get serious when they're trailing. Seriously i hate this mentality.

Take a look at Bayern, even after leading by 5 goals they still wanted more. Not that i'm saying that Juve is on
the same level as Bayern but our team definitely better than Olympiakos

and 3pts against Oly in Turin is a must in 2 weeks time. Failure to do so means dat Juve UCL campaign is as the same as last season = an utter failure sweat.gif

a routine win. Juventus Stadium has always been The Warrior hunting 'ground'...and what a time for Llorente to find the back of the net to boost his confidence.
And Gio, wow 10minutes he actually did better than most of Juve player the entire game combined. He should get playing time more often. Esp against
the team playing with 10 men in their own area

it is nice to see that our team still performed very well domestically, however i hope this season other that retaining out title, i wish we could add at least another silverware, especially the coppa italia cup. i want to see us winning a double too. UCL seems no luck to our team, myb in the next 5-10years. i missed the 2005-2006 squad, which i believe the best team we've got but too bad we lost to milan in the final.
*
the team dat lost to Milan was 2002-03 team led by Don Lippi

the team in 2004-06 was led by Don Capello, by far the most boring yet effective Juve team. But if i have to pick
one then the team of 2002-03 for sure. Great direct football as opposed to Capello more defensive approach team.

And not to mention Capello team kinda underperformed in Europe too, losing to both Liverpool & Arsenal in succession. One can only
wonder with the likes of Buffon-Thuram-Cannavaro-Zambrotta-Vieria-Emerson-Nedved-Camo-Ibra-Trez-ADP most of them were at their primes, why the
heck this team never left some mark in European football

It concerned me too. I tried to think more possitive n hope we will improve morw in the future games. I hope  the history dont repeat itself like during iinm ranieri era, when we won 2nd that season, but after we lost to bayern 4-1 in the ucl, our team fall apart drastically, if i remember correctly even a team like fulham beat us in europa league. I really dont want to see things like happen again, it takes many seasons n many managers until conte that we started to become champ again.
*
yeap. The 4-1 beating at the hands of Bayern was the start of Juve darkest era a few years ago. After that they keep on losing with a similar scoreline (4-1 & 3-0)

...until Conte came

idk i think for the time being they should focus more to qualify for UCL last-16 rounds at the expense of Serie A. Serie A is a marathon
while if Juve losing, even a draw against Olympiakos at home...they're nearly as good as out already

Somehow i believe something is wrong with italian football, we used to be one of the power house, a final destination for mist top stars. Today, our league already drop ti 3 ucl spot instead of 4, compared to other italian team, i"ll say only us juve n roma show potential but still not good enough for ucl level, i hope we will return to our glory days.

It's all about the money. Look at PSG. Money flew in there and star players flock to PSG. Now French League has HD on Astro but not Serie A vmad.gif  mad.gif
*
sounds right. Couple with the fact that most of the players nowadays chasing the paycheck more so they don't care wherever they'll be playing..as long as their
future employer offered thicker paycheck = non of the Italian team could afford this

only a few who would jump for the chance to play with the team they love/like, certain example was Milos Krasic, snubbing Man City in favor of Juve.
and how Juve board treat him? Disgrace & disgusting

a response against Empoli tonight is a must. I wouldn't want the team to be playing Olympiakos with a morale down..as i said b4, drawing or losing
against Olympiakos = we're as good as out from UCL

i agree that the allegri effect is starting to rear its ugly head. Allegri's title winning season depended alot on individual brilliance (think Zlatan) to win games. As a team, that Milan side was netiher very tenacious, slick nor displayed alot of teamwork.

Our win against Empoli was something like this. We now cant stringa few pasess but we still won due to the individual brillance of Pirlo and Morata. This is concerning as unless we have a C.Ronaldo or L.Messi, individual brillance can only carry a team so far..  hmm.gif  unsure.gif

By the way. Our most beloved Juve manager has retired from football.. just like his good pal Alex Ferguson  cry.gif  cry.gif

wow if there's one man i would love to coached Juve for one last time its non other than Don Lippi himself

but yeah, the man probably feeling sick & tired thinking about football already so best of luck whatever u gonna do next Mr Lippi

Will always remember him and his cigar beside the pitch

hehehe

The Paul Newman of football notworthy.gif

and btw, last i read somewhere saying dat both Ogbonna & Asamoah probably injured during the last time out against Empoli
perhaps this would force Max to alter for 4-3-3/4-1-3-2 against Olympiakos?

i'm getting tired of the all 'foreplay no penetration' laugh.gif 3-5-2 like we witnessed during the 1st half against Empoli back on Saturday.
with the small altercation of formation in the 2nd half Juve looks like having less possession of the ball but looking more dangerously
when counter/moving to attacking in unit

--------------Buffon------------
Lich---Vidal---Bonny---Chiello
--------------Pirlo-----------------
--Pereyra---Pogba--Marchiso--
----------Tevez--Morata----------

its make or break tie. Enduring last season UCL was hard enough... sweat.gif

using vidal as CB is dangerous considering he is natural midfielder and will venture up automatically.
I prefer 4-3-3
Buffon,
Lich,Bonny,Chiello,Asamoah
Vidal,March,Pogba
Morata,LLorente, Tevez/Gio

We need to attack a lot. Llorente is excellent holding up the ball. Sorry Pirlo might start on the bench, maybe introduce as players energy waned down.

Vidal has played at CB spot b4 and he looks good there(well, he's probably better striker than Llorente if he played upfront) tongue.gif

last i read Asamoah was injured? Correct me if i'm mistaken
