after shopping at lowyat today (19/02/2006), i found another choice, which is toshiba satellite M70-P540 with price rm4599

however the model not yet in the market , but accept to order , which is similar design look like M40-p540 with price 4299 from c-zone

in fact, i quite like the toshiba design(sceen is better as using csv) as compare Ibm z60m(look ugly) , but after the playing(operate) around btw these 2 notebook , ibm seem to be the best ....

the reason i'm not going to acer is simply bcoz i have heard from many friends saying acer hv bad quality sad.gif , so decide not take the risk

my god, so hard to chooose ....

m70-p540 is already available in malaysia quite long already.but than, would u mind telling us wat kind of specs u r looking for? wat main purpose u dealing with?
since that u choose those with intergrated graphic card than i assume u r not a heavy graphic usage.

if i choose between toshiba m70-p540 n ibm z60m, i would definitely go for toshiba coz the chasis look nicer n specs wise is better than ibm.

only go for ibm for thier embeded high security but nowadays even fujitsu offer such security.

Actually the Z60 series has 2 main types of construction (ignoring the Ti layer on the cover).

For Z60t
Case Material: Some: black color; hybrid carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) material
Some: top cover: silver color; CFRP, aluminum, titanium material; bottom: black, CFRP

For Z60m
Case Material: Some: black color; Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene (ABS) plastic
Some: top cover: silver color; ABS, aluminum, titanium material; bottom: black, ABS

Inother words, the t model has a carbon fibre hybrid casing like the bottom half of the T4x class and the m is actually the ABS type of casing like the R5x series. Ok-lar, the carbon not as gaya or flashy as ACER's, but then again, thinkpads aren't flashy machines.

The internal chassis (not to be confused with the external casing) of BOTH the Z60m and Z60t is made of magnesium.

officeboy, just get wat netto hikari quoted if ur budget is right, toshiba really improve better than IBM nowadays and Z series IBM quality really really decrease alot, shame with Z series. Titanium cover also no use, keyboard although is water spill off but if u see properly, when u press at centre part it will bend in unlike last time u can stand on it and 99% sure the keyboard prints alphabets will fade off. last time motherboard use to have one layer titanium layer to support drops but now no more. thats y "R" series is heavy. Z is a future turnover for R series. R series technology still applies but not at exterior. im ashamed with Z series. i didnt mean to insult but just shame.
