Some first batch of iPhone 5 users are seeing 'Purple Haze' in pictures when exposed to sunlight. Apparently, what you are seeing is an artifact initiated by lens flare. This iphone is a teeny camera with a teeny lens. There is nothing wrong with it. But that's why serious photographers are lugging around heavy cameras with heavy lenses. They perform better.

It is due to worker's brawl, the company said that the dispute escalated from a personal disagreement between workers. Foxconn spread their production around the plant which means some component of the iPhone 5 may be affected. However, Wu said that Taiyuan plant is not an iPhone assembly plant. Only stopped for one day.

SGD is 2.48 versus RM1. It will be 500 more expensive to buy. Unless eager buyers or people willing to bang bucks then it would be ok.

If you purchase via credit card, they won't charge exactly with the current exchange rate. Normally they will multiply by 2.55 which sum up to RM2,400. I'm talking about 16GB model.

Yes. A valid Singapore address is required since its Apple Singapore. You will need to enter a valid post code. Also for the credit card you have to call up the bank and check on the exchange rate. It could be a lot higher and end up paying extra few hundred dollars for being impatient and impulsive. Not worth it at all. Just wait or it to launch in KL. On the flip side, first batch and second batch may have defact or other factors. 3rd batch onwards will be fixed literally.

NanaLiew: How can that be? As far as I am concern, Telco will be the first to sell the iPhone physically to its customers at the opening. As Apple Store will be available for online purchase. Mind to elaborate your case.

First and foremost, you certainly have to contact the bank respectively prior to purchase of the device. Notify them that you will be charging xxx amount and you ought to have it on instalment for 12 or 24 months. Make sure you if the interest is free or with interest on the EPP. HSBC, OCBC, UOB, CITIBANK have the facilities. Can check out more in their website.
Added on October 5, 2012, 2:10 pmgreenlp87: We have to register our interest on their website once it is available to public which is likely to be on 19th October. Unless you're an Elite Club Member. Maxis will send out invitation to you personally.

NaNaLiew: No, You are dealing directly with the bank and nothing to do with the monthly plan from your telco. Maxis might have EPP for customers. But you have to check with the bank. The monthly plan is paid to Maxis for your usage and etc. The full payment is a transaction from you, your credit bank and paid to Maxis. Once that is done. You have nothing to do with Maxis already, means you have to reimburse your bank for crediting the full amount of the device.
