if the poster is real, maxis sure already allow user to register ROI in their website..

Although it still doesn't say anything much, a shop wont take much trouble doing that booking advert for nothing.

Of course, gonna take that with grain of salt, but then some light of hope i guess.

Just my 2 cents... My job is more into graphic design + advertising... From my point of view, the bunting/banner design structure didn't show the identity of Maxis... And the basic concept of design also bad, for example logo must be up, etc... All i can say is that banner was kind of fake...
*
Well, at my hometown, telco shops (e.g Authorised Service Agents) do also place some "home-made" buntings for promos and products (especially iPhones) last time. So it's not necessarily fake, but it can be the shop went the extra mile as they haven't yet received their media stuffs from telco in anticipation of a launch already known by them.

It's just the shop advertising for AP sets. LOL
Dun get overexcited!
*
Yup, but if I own a shop and if I'm gonna just do that, i'll straight advertise to the crowd "iPhone 5 Available Now".

Thinking as an AP set seller, it's always a good idea to capitalise on impulse buys for such product. So physically advertising a booking for AP iPhones doesn't really makes sense. But I'm not totally discounting the probability of them may doing just that.

If the banner is true do u think the surrounding of the banner will be so quiet? And I strongly believe if it's true maxis website shud have posted or other other maxis outlets may have the same banner... Or could it be it's a company that print maxis banner.... tongue.gif
*
Or simply a twist to the whole event, the bunting is actually a sample by an advertising company.

That will be the ultimate troll.

All rumor, picture or email is about maxis only. Sekali digi launch it first with title "We are ahead of our competitor, preorder start now." All maxis butt hurt...!!
*
And gonna hurt more to people who mnp to maxis earlier just for iPhone 5.

included in malaysia?

Haha, Apple only send out invitation for that event, no mention of anything bout availability by region.

They even using some vague wording on the invitation (unlike "Let's Talk iPhone") and not even putting any product image (unlike 3rd gen iPad).

yeap by sure they will be having lotsa stocks.. but based on previous trend..

apple will surely launch abit by abit .. as probably a gimmick to gather crowds from time by time
*
Dunno for sure.

Last time when my bro bought iPhone 4S from telco (it's Digi), I've checked its production week. Surprised me, it's just couple of weeks out from its factory. Mind you the purchase is made in 2012 when the iPhone 4S shouldn't be considered that 'hot' already.

Another spoiler spouting words without supporting evidence. Such nuisance should be punishable by law biggrin.gif

If November then good la, we will be receiving the polished and better quality Aluminium at the back.

And yeah, Apple is not doing this on purpose.. They have valid reasons to delay the launch and you may never know new bath of phones may improve the overall QC rate of iphone 5. Not getting 1st batch of phones is also a blessings in a way  thumbup.gif
*
Well, every cloud got silver lining then. Looking forward for the launch, willing to wait a bit if quality's gonna be improved. Less potential trouble to worry about.

Well suppose to be tomorrow geh, however Samsung stole the lime light so Apple have to postpone to the following week. Moreover, the stocks should have arrived already.
*
If stock already arrives and ready to go, then we should already hear some good news then. Lots of stuff gonna takes place in between, such as certification and inventory checking. At least somebody working with telco will already catch the wind due to the sudden existence of new item in their inventory.

Seems like even if they're going either next week or nov, it wasn't due to Sammy.

Went around Queensbay mall Penang to find iphone 4s, no stock everywhere!

Except for Maxis which requires me to sign up for their plan which I am reluctant cos I have an ongoing contract with them.
*
Well, some Maxis Authorised Service Agents and their resellers do provide outright iPhone 4S. At least around my vicinity anyway (different state already).

QUOTE(chewlf @ Oct 18 2012, 11:05 PM)
If you want to buy 4s without contract, why don't you buy from apple store online?
*
Apart from need CC, need to wait for the order to process.

Also by opening the phone in store, you are supposedly able to exchange it faster.
