these days... paid apps are no better...

take for example flick golf which was offered last time at 0.10cents. loaded with so many ads... so annoying.

anyway, today's offering... so-so only. wanted the RPG by Kempco and the Open Office. RPG is region locked. will see if i still wanna buy first and then figure out how to install it.

Gameloft -- under personal ban. dun like games that ask for permission to start up during boot. imagine you have 5 such games... boot up takes longer...

wondering what nice games EA will have.

on my wish list -- Final Fantasy. biggrin.gif but i know its near impossible la... that game is selling usd15. no way slashed to usd0.25.

other than that... dun really think anything else will entice me... but see la...

and honestly, i think some of the games/ apps will be the ones from previous offers -- probably keyboards and also that paper camera apps.

If I use VPN to access the books, magazines & movies, will I be able to buy it with local credit/debit card? All I know is Nexus 7 users with the USD25 credit could use the credit to purchase. Unsure whether cc could be use
*
i believe yes... if you can access the movies, etc... then you should be able to buy from local CC.

but not sure about offline viewing, etc... never really bothered with books, mags and movies. most can get from diff sources anyway...

Hopefully they sell FF at a cheaper price. nvm 25 cents, I would even get it at USD 2.50
*
yea... +1

but since can offer usd16 at usd0.25... i'm going to be greedy and just hope for usd0.25 for FF...

i seriously, seriously hope so... sorry la jonjon... hahahaha...

Hi, how can I access to google play store for movies and books? Any ways of doing it? Which VPN to recommend?
*
you can probably try the method used by Nexus 7 owners to claim their free usd25. just check Pg1 of the Nexus 7 thread.

*ouch*

i bought a few apps today... more than yesterday.

bought...
* world of goo (just buy for the sake of buying -- this game got really positive reviews)
* going to bed book -- the sandra boyton books are good. bought some in the previous sale before. this is a new one not featured in the last sale
* dungeon village -- my first kairosoft game. hope its nice. but what the heck... usd0.25 only la...
* cut the rope -- already got the 1st one from past sales. so might as well get it. though i think the devs actually loaded the 1st part with more in game ads and also notification spam
* sketchbook... hmmm... professional drawing pad + g.note1 (or note2)

anyway, guys... if i'm not mistaken, the developers still get paid their original asking price. google tops up the difference. so, i feel its also good to just buy and reward the devs... it will keep them motivated and go on the dev new games/ apps.

btw, when i try to delete my cc info after purchase apps, it gives me warning that (recent purchase apps) will be affected.
what it means? will it cancel my order? coz i always delete my cc info after purchase smth from the web to avoid possible fraud.

any advice? tq smile.gif
*
yes, it is possible that 1st attempt dun go thru and need to re-attempt. if you remove the CC, then the purchase might not go thru... i'm just leaving my CC for the next 4 days... biggrin.gif

Today's apps aren't really interesting, besides the Paper Cam and Sketchbook. Tried to purchase Cut the Rope but saw lots of recent bad reviews about it.

take user reviews with a grain of salt...

anyway, i've bought previous Sandra Boynton books before and i love it.. errr... i mean my kids love it. ok, ok, i also actually secretly like it.

installed on sgs2 and also Note. no problem what-so-ever. i think i also installed on Asus tablet (TF101) as well...

like i've shared earlier... use this opportunity to let devs earn some money la... else eventually, they either stop dev for android, etc... we only need to fork out less than rm1. google covers the rest of the cost. so, ok wat... biggrin.gif

by purchasing apps that require/encourage in app purchasing, you're encouraging that business model.

so more and more developers/publishers will see this as a good thing and pull the same stunt. later on, all you'll be buying-regardless of the price- is a client shell with little to no content.

that's a future i do not want happening.
*
well, dun la go buy the 0.25cent apps that has this model... biggrin.gif

i know the Sandra Boynton book dun have this. btw, i tested and it is working fine on my sgs2. those who were worried... this is the 3rd book (apps) i have from the same author/ dev... you need to know how to turn the pages. once you know, its easy...

same la never bought paid apps b4, but bought asphalt 7 day b4 ytd and nova today

as i shared before... during such sales, devs still get paid their original asking price. google tops up the remainder... we only pay usd0.25.

so, should support the devs -- but of course pick good ones la. that way, they will still stay in business...

personally, i dun consider gameloft and zynga as good developers. biggrin.gif

legacy play store(can see all purchased apps)

-force close on my jb galxy note-
*
i'm on stock ROM... ICS. my google play store can show all my purchased apps... including those from other devices using the same account that has not been installed on the phone.

from google play store on the device, press menu/ options button... select my apps. then scroll right. you should see all your purchased apps... regardless of whether installed or not.
