please understand that both of these tools resemble the shape of a kerambit, which in the eyes of Malaysian lawmaker and enforcer, is a very dangerous and very illegal offensive weapon.

Aren't they graded in "grit" ?? I know 2000 grit sand paper can be found in hardware shops for less than RM2

Btw, anyone tried sharpening their knives for shaving ?? Want to share experience ? brows.gif

if you order a balisong, there are 2 possibilities:

first possibility: it will get through without a hitch and reach your house without any problem.

second possibility: it will be detained by custom at Pos Malaysia's Mail & Courier Center in Sepang, across the street from LCCT. You will receive a letter notifying the detainment and asked to attend yourself to produce an AP.

To obtain the AP you have to go to Mail & courier center, get the package's mailing slip from the custome and take it to the home ministry in putrajaya to fill up the application form for the AP.

The form will require a PDRM clearance letter, which you have to go to the licensing department in Bukit Aman to obtain. Once you have been cleared by Bukit Aman (takes a week or 2) then you take the clearance letter to home ministry to complete the AP application. You'll get the result in a week or more. there's a possibility of your application be rejected also.

After all this is complete, you have to bring all the documents back to Mail & courier center in Sepang to receive your toy. But if you cant finish all this process within 30 days, your toy will destroyed together with other contraband and unclaimed packages.

aint procedures fun?
