Once, I saw this kitten got knocked by a car. Ask my bro to pick it up and we went to vet but by that time its already dead..but in my case, blood only comes out from its nose and ears, only internal bleeding...

Its hard to avoid hitting because hard to predict where it would run because it's scared. Sometimes when we go left to avoid, it also goes left to run, we go right, it goes right..when we try to avoid by going over it in the middle they may still run and get hit by the back tires..but dogs how you gonna avoid? my advice is don't drive fast so you can have time to stop the car and avoid hitting the animal...
