I'm selling my flat burr grinder (Krups) and Nescafe Dolce (used). If you guys are interested, please PM me.

A big great news is that Breville BES920XL is here in Malaysia!!! And it costs RM4999! I'm so going to get one. For those who prefers a single boiler but with PID control, you can get the handy BES870XL that comes with grinder for RM2999.

Guess my wait for this was worth it as I was caught in between this or the Nouva Simonelli Oscar.

For RM4999, maybe you can top up a bit more for an E61 group head machine lo.. Maybe an Expobar Office Lever..

You could be right. But it's not exactly a few hundreds of top up....

I saw a Breville BES870xl which comes with a conical grinder built on in Robinson Gardens as well as ETC in Bangsar sound center. Single boiler with PID. Retailing for RM 2999.

BES920XL?

Do a review!  smile.gif

Yea, 920XL. Love the feature. Review? Hmm....

Pros:
1. Dual boiler, extreme fast start up, around 2 minutes.
2. Basically everything can be customized from pre-infusion time, pressure to volume of the auto 1-2 cup shots to shot temperature to steam temperature.
3. Able to do self descaling.
4. Looks solid.
5. Tamper with guide on how much should be tamped.
6. 2 x pressurised basket and 2 x normal baskets
7. Free pitcher!

Cons:
1. Puck still occasionally stuck.
2. No burn proof steam wand.

Well, I'll chip in later..

Actually no burn steam wand might take a longer time to steam due to restrained diameter for additional insulation. How's the steaming power of the Breville?
*
Steaming power is slightly on the weaker side. The machine is able to set the steam temperature to between 130 to 140 centigrade. Higher temperature gave a better and more powerful steam. Not sure how it work here.

btw i saw this machine in robinsons garden, they are doing promo at RM 2799 instead of RM 2999...

may i know is this machine good as well? compare to others similar level of machine?
*
This machine has a built in PID which after steaming, it'll regulate the temperature for you to do the shot, eliminating surfing. Good deal.

Do go to 1U's new wing. Look for Best Denki, and ask for Siti. I bought my 920 there a year ago. We still keep contact. Ask for best price and gifts. Say Calvin recommended. She'll know. Good luck.
