Nowdays I do french press at home, I realize, at home (I bought starbucks dark roast), at starbucks or at coffee beans, I always get the black coffee that I like.

And when I start going to these coffee shops like, Artisan, or Whisk, their coffee always taste sourish to me, is this normal? Or this is what they call Flowerly taste?

It will be out of your range when they get launch.
They are getting funding fast.
If they are performing as advertised it's not priced higher than their competitors. If u don't make espresso a cheap hario will do

Most beans u get from such places are medium roast will be my guest. Mel did indicate Starbucks beans are real stale to begin with, read up last few pages. Good insight

Just tried Coffea Coffee's COE 2011 Rwanda.. Aromatic and nice.. But I guess the 1:17 ratio is too little.. Gonna try 1:19 and see. Roast date is 24/11..

And thanks to patryn, I pledged for the ROK grinder at $129.. I'm just a sucker for manual grinders.. I'm a little skeptical about the delrin gear and the wobbly burrs though. Anyway, my PF holder from the HG guys have a delrin collar.. It's like a tank.. So I hope it's as tough.
