Exxonmobil pays the lowest among the oil companies in Malaysia. With a Masters, you can put in expected salary RM4000 - RM5000.
So put as RM5k

Oh really ? Biggest OnG comp in the world but yet the lowest paid sweat.gif ?
But pay is not the most important concern for me, just try to be reasonable when filling up the form smile.gif
But 5k seems very high for a Fresh Grad with 0 exp ?

Hi there,

Are you filling up the online application? Or you have been invited for interview and you need to fill in the form? I think the range between RM3k to RM3.5k for Bac. holder is reasonable. For Master holder, maybe additional few hundreds.

For me my interview are language only. No written or exam given.

2 interview session.

Not much benefit from manpower as they only provide medical card , annual leave , medical leave. As other recruitment firm / exxon contract staff don't really have this benefits.

1) My interview was simple , language and then met 2 Team Leads
2) Salary / OT are managed by manpower not exxon , if exxon require you to work OT , then depends on your Agency they provide replacement or OT money
3) Yes you do have chance to be permanent if your performance are good.

ExxonMobil cant be paying that amount.
its way too low for them to do so.
Even Petronas also pay around 5k.

but that;s different sectors all together. as long as the annual increment is >5%, it should more than enough to withstand the inflation impact.

electronic sector is better than oil n gas?

The question is for average performer, 5-7%.
If for Mr Excellento, 10-15% should be easy.
But 50%? Doubt it.
Someone with salary RM15,000 won't easily get RM7,500 increment.
Unless it's a superb promotion.

Depends on your CL level of course. As you get higher and higher CL, of course it's hard to get something in the range of 50% but that number is not impossible for high flyers within 5-6 years in the company. provided that you are really a high flyer. this is not sugar coating. i work for exxon too so yes, I know it happens.

What do you mean by upstream engineers? How to determine what engineer is upstream or downstream?

offshore, on-site engineers are upstream? or project, management, planning kind of upstream?

Hey there, typically, from refinery and downwards, we call it downstream, upwards is upstream, irregardless of either you are consultant, it, hr, galley cook, cleaner helper

Just a quick question, how high is the requirement for ExxonMobile to hire a upstream or downstream process engineer? I only know the basic requirement is cGPA 3.8 at least, three round of interviews ( similar to Shell?). If im only graduated from local private uni which is not very reputable (but recognised by BEM), would that cut out my chance to work in ExxonMobile ?

Can be more specific for ExxonMobil package?

In Petronas, fresh graduate will be entitled to as follows:

1) Starting salary: RM4000
2) After a year of working, additional RM800 - RM1000 will be added to the salary, provided you are technical employee
3) Bonus wise: depending on the performance rating for the year, minimum will be 2 months
4) Medical insurance, nothing to shout about.

I know a guy who is trying to get into Exxon but is struggling due to lack of vacancies.
I believe if someone were to look at the monetary benefits, given the chance by exxon,he should go straight and accept the offer.

Client side would not disappoint you.

Lol. Now tht's someone who did their homework right. But honestly after finishing their G scheme, the pay rise is literally peanuts compared to the initial 3 years. Plus pressure to 'earn your keep' is jack high.

How's the work environment and culture in exxonmobil kl?

I've got the opportunity to be an intern in controller's dpmt 4 abt 7 mths n in my point of view, the staffs r all very supportive n helpful.

Overall, they really prioritize on safety in everything dat u did.U r given with a list of safety training dat must be completed within certain time frames.
Even though I'm just an intern, they still gave me opportunities to join a few in-house trainings n be part of the safety committees.

The thing dat I like the most is when the tasks dat hv been given to me bcame more challenging n involved many analysis after they saw dat I've got more familiar with the system/operation.
I'm not so sure abt other dpmts but so far all da staffs frm diff dpmts dat i've worked with r also very cooperative.
Apologies 4 my long essay, hope it is useful to u.
