When you say nothing happen means nothing happen at all? No sound/vibration? No "Touch to beam" screen?
I assume you've enabled all NFC related settings on both devices.

Check and make sure NFC works on each device first. Tap your device to a TouchNGo card (or MyKad with TnG feature). You should get an audible sound, meaning your device can detect the card.

Your Vega R3 is running on ICS right? You can't send pictures with NFC on ICS but a website or contact or google maps should work.

oh, that beep sound...so can i use my phone as my TnG? or need some app to do so?
JB can fully utilise NFC? like send stuff and whatnot?

No, no....you can't use your phone as TnG, at least not yet. I just use it as an example on how to check if your NFC is working. This is probably the easiest way as most people has a TnG card. Your phone will attempt to communicate with the TnG card. But it can't even read the full content due to encryption and such.

With the latest JB, you should be able to send pictures and files by just tapping 2 NFC devices. In this case, NFC is used for pairing the 2 devices and after that bluetooth or wifi direct will take over the data transfer.

So do RapidKL LRT Tokens, Mastercard PayPass cards and the newer Malaysian Passport.

You can read limited information on these NFC tags but can't write.
For Malaysian Passport, using NFC Tag Info app, you can extract more useful info. try it! biggrin.gif
