Well, my dad asked me to do alittle project for him ...
he wants to do a software/site

To enter a few numbers.
Submit the numbers
save the numbers in some sort of file(text).

that is that
and lets say i entered "123456"
and i need to search something like "123"
and then all numbers starting with 123 will popup be it 123456, 123654 or 123546

I think using html + asp should do the work. Well, i have 0 knowledge of asp, and i know only 50% of html.
I am willing to learn, so which language do i use to make these ?

Hope some pro here would help me out smile.gif

Well the easiest would be to use Visual Basic + MS Access or text files.

You can find plenty of tutorials for those.

I would suggest only to use Ms Access with some VBA already suffice.

I think many programmers have underestimate the ability of the Ms Access itself.

Ms Access provide most of the validation, checking, forms and etc in it. All you need is just make use of it. I am not against the idea of using VB but most of the time, it is not even come to the need.

access is really powerful if you know how to use it..

anyway, my suggestion is VB6+MS Access. The simplest and fastest
