Hi, I am planning to change my 14" to 15" rim. Of coz I know it will slightly affect the pick up after changing to bigger tyre.

So my quetion is, between 185/55/15 VS 195/55/15 tyre, will the 185 have better pick up compare to 195 or it make no different?

Thanks

16' inch is a odd size. If you see most UHP or performance tyres out there, not many models you can choose for 16'. And there is major price difference between 15 and 16. Might as well get 17' which you have more choices on better tyres.

Back to TS concern, since you have made your mind to change to 15', do you still prefer to more or less same FC? If yes then go for 185-55-15 for comfort and agile (lesser rolling resistance).

If you wanted more grip aka handling performance but sacrifice abit of FC then go for 195-50-15. 55 series tyres are much more expensive.

185/55 vs 195/55 there will be a slight difference..

due to the fact that the 195/55 will have a thicker side wall hence increase rolling radius...

its also bigger which means itll be heavier (though not by much)

i prefer more or less same FC with stock 14". if the 195/55 have no affect too much FC compare to 185/55, of coz i will go for 195/55.

If it did affect much FC then 185/55 will be my choice since most of my time is city drive.

your advice is much appreciated, anyone?

Better FC = Lighter right foot.

Want car to have good response and since you driving in city, go for 185-55-15
