kokanchai, always remember to give the URL or put the page some where so at least we can look at it and advice you rather than a bunch of Q&A going on.

i would suggest a simple INDEX page with
CODE

<html>
<head><title>your title here</title></head>
<body>
<object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,29,0" width="650" height="250">
             <param name="movie" value="filename.swf">
             <param name="quality" value="high">
                 <PARAM NAME=wmode VALUE=opaque>
                 <embed src="filename.swf" quality="high" wmode=transparent pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="650" height="250"></embed>
           </object>
</body>
</html>

to try it out. i donno what some of the attritbutes are for, such as classid and codebase but do give it a try. smile.gif

i thought i explained this to you before.

look at your code!!!

CODE

<p align="center">
 <object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,29,0" width="800" height="189">
   <param name="movie" value="file:///C|/Documents and Settings/admin/Desktop/My Blog/Flash/top.swf">
   <param name="quality" value="high">
   <embed src="file:///C|/Documents and Settings/admin/Desktop/My Blog/Flash/top.swf" quality="high" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="800" height="189"></embed></object>
</p>

file:///C|/Documents.........

told you already (even if i did not, or you can't remember.........read on tongue.gif), when you do on your machine. after upload you'll have to change the location for the SOURCE.

so now, if the flash file is located in the same folder as the page then you just put the filename enough.

if it's in a subfolder, you'll put the "directorynamehere/filename.swf" like this. get it?

hehe. still don't work. not on firefox here.

CODE

<object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,29,0" width="800" height="189">
   <param name="movie" value="file:///C|/Documents and Settings/KokanChai/Desktop/My Blog/Flash/top.swf">
   <param name="quality" value="high">
   <embed src="file:///C|/Documents and Settings/KokanChai/Desktop/My Blog/Flash/top.swf" quality="high" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="800" height="189"></embed></object>

see, i pointed to you your mistake already and it's still happening. same mistake with your 1st one.

please change the src and value ="xyz.swf" to the correct path then the movie will load.

as of now, yours is file:///C|/Documents WHICH is a format used only on Windows OS. this does not work on webservers.

when you use DreamWeaver or any WYSIWIG application, when you insert the picture or file the source will be as according to what's seen on your machine, but that's not how it works on webservers.

have you tried other locations?

if it's in a flash subdirectory, then it should be value="Flash/top.swf"

if it's in the same directory, then it should be value="top.swf"

don't need to put the "../" cos this will mean other thing.

i'm not sure how blogspot works when it comes to directories (assuming it's same as other http server) but i tried looking for your top.swf and i can't find it
nicwei.blogspot.com/Flash/top.swf
nicwei.blogspot.com/flash/top.swf
nicwei.blogspot.com/top.swf

so first thing - how do i view your flash file without going through the page?

you have to know where you're previewing from.

IF you did not change the format, you can view on your PC but not on website.

buf after you change the format, you can view on the website but NOT on your PC (unless it's same folder la)
