QUOTE(SKY 1809 @ Sep 26 2012, 07:46 PM) Nice idea. I am not aware of such feature. I read a few months back that Bursa incorporates the CL feature, meaning u could pre key in a lower future selling price if price does drop to your CL point. Does Anyone use IT There are many ways to incorporate a CL. Sometimes, if you are trading on a longer time frame, one can base the CL on fundamentals too. Having said all these, no matter how smart and careful we are, this is the shark infested pasar we are talking about. There will be many times we can be shaken and stirred and made to look like a dummy whose brains are in our bottoms. Best example I can share now is Johore Tin. I traded it based on the earnings growth factor. Then I got my brains shifted to my bottoms and made to look like a dummy because I got shaken out of the stock all because of the rights issue announcement. The rights issue seemed totally redundant to me and I can not understand the need. 10 out of 10 times, my decision will still be the same and I would still continue to quit given such circumstances. Sad thing is the stock continued to fly but only without me. If there wasn't such an announcement, I don't think I would have exited the stock yet. Oh well. No regrets. This is the share market and yes it's hard to exit the stock at the best possible price every time. Many times, the stock can still go higher without us. |

QUOTE(kueyteowlou @ Sep 26 2012, 11:31 PM) can you please teach me that how you trade @ this kind of range.. the picture I post below.. I cannot find a good strategy to trade.. It's not a must to try to trade all the time. Trade only when you know you stand a very good chance to win. |

QUOTE(andrewL @ Sep 27 2012, 12:31 AM) hi guys. just found this thread and super liking it. by the way, i entered HWGB at rm 0.34. still holding unfortunately. should i sell or keep few more days ? Hello, I cannot give you any advice but I cannot help commenting on the statement underlined. You said you entered HWGB at 34 sen but then you said unfortunately still holding. I understand that HWGB closed at 33 sen, up 0.5 sen and your purchase is higher than the closing price but why 'unfortunately'? On one hand, I can see where the 'unfortunately' comes from, you declare yourself to be unfortunate because the current stock price is cheaper than your purchase price. However, you have to realise that it's very common that after one's purchase of shares, the share price could trade lower. This is normal in the stock price and should not be considered as 'unfortunate'. It's not a must that a share must fly sky high after you purchase. Just saying only. It does carries some sort of importance if you are one who believes that one should trade in a clear mind and in order to be a good trader, luck or lack of luck should not be part of the equation. After being so long winded and so male chicken talking on the luck factor.. What was your trading goal when you purchase HWGB? How high do you expect HWGB to fly? What's your back up plan if HWGB fails to fly? This post has been edited by Boon3: Sep 27 2012, 08:37 AM |

SAPInd surprises with 7 sen dividend!
Profits, however, was a shocker. Down 43%. I have not seen why. How interesting! The other day we saw SAPInd stage a techie rebound, climbing back to 1.6+. Did someone caught wind? More interesting. After giving their 15 sen dividend, SAPind kept on falling and falling. Did 'they' know that this quarter earnings is going to be that bad? Some who bought the stock for the dividends, could have vomited all their 'dividends' back with the sharp fall in stock prices. |

QUOTE(yhtan @ Sep 27 2012, 09:39 AM) Nature of human being, point finger at others before think twice I ask myself that question when my stocks gets too high.I would let the profit run for the time being, anyway if live broadcasting brought in huge revenue growth, I might average up Did somebody profit from IJM rebound? Is like if I cannot see myself buying the stock, why would others? Did not buy IJM. What IJM did was situpid. My raw opinion is Scomi financials are really, really that bad and what IJM did is unforgivable. It's a clear bailout. |

QUOTE(SKY 1809 @ Sep 27 2012, 09:50 AM) It's featured in today's papers. Anything new besides what the papers are saying? I, myself cannot get interested in it because there are too many construction stocks and myself is not keen in construction stocks. Ireka is not big and probably would be gauge versus the smaller one like Fajarbaru, Gadang, TRC, BinaPuri etc. |

QUOTE(yhtan @ Sep 27 2012, 10:05 AM) Let's look at the good side, Scomi does has expertise in Railway and Oil and Gas. IJM did that to enhance its civil engineering, maybe in the future has more chances in securing related project. Scomi's railway expertise is in its subsidiary Scomi Engineering. When u do not have expertise in certain field, 1)Joint venture with others (Profit will be share equally) 2)Hire third party to perform work (Expensive and very hard to master the skill) 3)Internally provide training and course (Costly and result is uncertainty) 4)Buy in a company No.4 is the best option to tap into the field they intended to venture, fast enough, no need to wait years. Construction sector itself does not provide a sustainable income, that's why they venture Plantation, Property development etc. The chairman intended to grow IJM become Sime Darby v2, a wild wild dream I understand but why insist on Railway and Oil and Gas? |
