Hi bro, just now there is a burning smell in my car.
I am not sure it is due to the burning of speaker, amp or cabling.
This smell occurred when the cd in my cd player keep on skipping (didnt played smoothly like hang here and there) ....example duration of track being skipped from 2.35 to 2.39 then 2.39 to 2.43....
This burning smell happened after this skipping problem happened for around 30 second and my car has been driven for around 5 minutes

So, i turned of the radio and removed the faulty cd.
After that I played it with another cd with the same volume, there is no skipping problem and no burning smell after playing it for around 15 minutes

1) is it possible for this skipping problem to cause burning smell?
2) is it due to the burning of speaker, cable or amp?

thanks a lot for the help

The smell is like petrol smell or oil burn smell or what smell?
Different smell can indicate different problem

is the cd very hot when u take it out?
it might be amplifier problem too if when the skipping happen, you turn high volumn and the amp keep load-stanby-load-stanby

not sure the cd is hot or not because that time too nervous d....tot my car terbakar d...
i think the volume is considered high.....just now when i played using another cd, the amp seems to be fine as the light in the amp is not blinking and there is no smell.....
is the smell showing that something is burnt in the amp due to the skipping problem? should i send the amp for checking or i shud try to use it for sometime first?
