Yes. Do a search and you will find a few resellers selling at below RM1.65k.

there is a demo unit at sunway pyramid at the htc shop, where all the nokia, samsung, istudy shops are located.

Lovely lovely design btw.

I just came back from there. The sales personnel who happened to be there just now did not seem to know too much but what was worse was that he was saying things which were totally off tangent.

So, when you guys go there and if that same person is there, take whatever he says with a pinch of salt.

If you had bothered to read the few posts above yours, you will know that the 8X is here already.

Don't the posts above say it is already available in Malaysia and sold by authorized dealers of HTC, i.e. HTC reps?

Is our language that bad or your comprehension of it lacking?

Since you put it that way, you know what would have saved unnecessary postings? You asking unnecessary questions when the answer to it was already posted just a couple of posts earlier.

L920 is nice with bigger 4.5" & Nokia Premiums Apps, but HTC 8x got better Sound Beat!!!

8X has its pros but across the board, I think 920 is better.

Do a search under our GS. There are resellers for the HTC 8X there.

Hi thanks, could you be so kind to provide me a link to one of them?
*
I am sorry but I am a strong advocator of self help especially when someone has already pointed you to the right direction. All you need to do is enter GS. Under Search, key in HTC 8X and you will find what you want. This is as close as I will go which is almost spoon-feeding, which I am against.

this babe is dust eater!!!

I believe it is, given the material and the surface. Just like the glossy surface of some of the Nokia Lumia series which attract fingerprints, the 8X will attract dust and dirt. And the 'paint' will wear off in time.

Hey guys, i am considering to get this device from umobile (sign a 2 year contract with them)..
The main problem with window phone 8 is the lack of apps and the quality of the apps available..
my main concern is on a few basic apps that I cannot live without ..
How is the user interface on facebook, whatsapp and internet explorer?

Also, how well can this phone hold against drop? Sometimes i drop my phone.. and i'm very afraid of super fragile phone as in you accidentally drop it once, the screen will just crack

oh..forgot to mention... I'm a long time android user ..switching from galaxy nexus
*
Any phone is prone to breakage if dropped. It depends on the point of impact.

Suggest you have a casing for your phone since you confessed you are careless but that in itself is not fool-proof.

On the features/functions of WP8, suggest strongly you spend some time reading the posts here to gather some intelligence before jumping in.

yup ..i read all the posts in this thread but it's mostly about window phone 8 user interface and maps .. I've tested the demo sets.. win 8 very smooth
but i wanna know if the user interface for specific apps like facebook and whatsapp are good .. (i read some bad reviews on this.. so i want to verify)
the demo sets don't have sim card ..so i can't really try whatsapp
*
I am like you, considering a change to WP8. I have been reading the posts religiously as I want to make a right decision. I believe you have not read all the posts in the Windows Phones Thread as, if you have you would have gotten a lot of the information you wanted. I did.

you mean other win phone 8 threads?
thanks for the advice, i think i should too.. since i'm asking about the specific apps UI on win 8 rather than bout the phone itself
what's your decision so far??
*
Yes.

The more I read the more inclined I am towards not going down the path. Not that the WP8 phone I am considering is not good. It looks like it does not serve MY needs. It may be different for you. Hence, my suggestion for you to go through the threads here.

Good luck, mate.

Glad you managed to buy what you want.

Now just be wary of the colour wearing off your phone. It has been reported that the colour is 'sprayed' on and over time, it will wear off.

Regarding the GS here, if you know how to do the search it is quite easy to get what you are looking for.

Enjoy your new toy.
