QUOTE(waveweaver @ Sep 24 2012, 10:18 PM) 1) Nothing much different between Polish and M'sian firmware except its modem and language availbility. thanks...2) Always do both Titanium AND Nandroid backup before flashing any firmware upgrade. Titanium - incase it's a wipe firmware then you can easily re- install your apps again. Nandroid - incase shit happen OR you dislike your new firmware then you can restore everything back as before you you flash the new firmware. 3) If you flash official firmware via PC Odin then you will lose your root and need to re-root again. Either you flash using MobileOdinPro OR you flash wanam rom that comes with pre-root if you intend to keep your root. 1) Im not sure what is modem in this case, diff modem still can use here right? language ar... english and chinese got or not? I normally use these 2 languages only.. 2) where to get nandroid backup? |

QUOTE(waveweaver @ Sep 24 2012, 10:28 PM) I dont think Polish firmware got Chinese language. M'sia or SEA region firmware normally got Chinese language. thanks thanks... aiks, i nid chinese language ... especially chatting with China clients.. shit.. i think i have to wait till official Malaysia version dy...Nandroid - either use CWM app OR use three button combo (vol up + power + home button). Navigate to backup and restore. There you can do your Nandroid backup. |

QUOTE(silentser @ Sep 25 2012, 01:25 AM) yerp, that a very bad crack, go SC try to fight for it, hi silentser sifu... erm, may i noe what is the meaning of 'wipe'? is it necessary to do so? if i flashed d, CF-root then jz normal use without wipe.. is it ok? thanks yeaAdded on September 25, 2012, 1:26 am just flash it, it doesnt care if you root or not, after your flash it using Odin, you will loose root, p/s: NEVER go and wipe you data directly after flashing using odin, install CF -root first then do the wipe if you want, direct wipe after flashing odin will wipe your internal SD card files too Added on September 25, 2012, 2:55 amanyway.. i still dun want flash... coz i nid chinese support.. haihz, hav to wait till malaysia version... now learning from all sifus 1st.. kekek This post has been edited by drumhitz: Sep 25 2012, 02:55 AM |

QUOTE(waveweaver @ Sep 26 2012, 10:19 PM) If you from stock ICS..upgrade to stock JB firmware via OC Odin then there's no need to do any wipe. You do wipe if you cones from custom rom where many things been tweaked or modified. oh thanks waveweaver sifu... solved my doubt here too.. another question: if I wanna upgrade from stock ICS to stock JB via PC Odin... but I have rooted and flash siyah kernel before... do I need to wipe in this case??Btw..it's good that the Polish JB firmware didn't wipe. Sometimes certain upgrade did wipe all your apps. Internal storage only can be wipe clean IF you manually wipe it. Using wipe with CWM wont wipe your internal storage. Do be carefull when do wipe/reset via CWM recovery as the FIRST time you do it..it will wipe clean your internal storage. After that it wont wipe internal storage anymore. This is true on ICS firmware. Dont know about JB as i still havent try stock JB firmware yet p/s: anyway.. i hav always backup everything using TB... |

QUOTE(elmodistortion @ Oct 4 2012, 12:01 PM) no one dare to post review here? hahhaa I alwiz on mobile data... i think it depends on coverage, if u reached an area with poor coverage, the phone will keep searching for connection... and this drains batt.. so far im satisfied with Maxis coverage la..actually my phone still not root. the bad things about my phone is sync exchange and 2 gmail account and the same time remote my server. thats why its drain up my phone. so implanning to use wifi soon. need review first. hehe usually my hsdpa on-mode will drain up my phone from 8am to 6pm .just balance 7% battery.demmit don't sync ur emails.. i uninstall all gmails and stock exchange email... using k-9 mail to replace.. i like this app coz i can have all the email accounts in one, yahoo..gmail...office emails... and I off sync also.. manually refresh safe lots of battery~ |

QUOTE(elmodistortion @ Oct 4 2012, 12:19 PM) serious? dun worry.. all the calendar and ur contacts are saved to ur google account... not the apps.. uninstalling the gmail apps won't affect anything, u still can login to ur gmail from ur laptop right.. ur contacts and calendar everything still there one thanks bro.ur idea can save me .. anyway, so if i uninstall, all the sync calendar and backup contact still in gmail? how about lotus note? can sync? from my view, sync really can drain battery.. if u suddenly reached an area with poor data coverage, sync will keep on searching for connectivity.. When it is synced, and some emails or other notifications came in when Im busy, I won't really bother to check it, so what's the point? unless you really can't miss out any important emails and wanna reply straight away.. That's why I prefer manually refresh when Im free and got time to check mails and other notifications. so far I only sync my whatsapp, google contacts and calendar.. just my opinion, all the sifus out ther, correct me if im wrong |
