Problem solved

after spending a few hours finding out how to unlock my iphone4s SIM card (which is using a United Kingdom Sim by the way),

I tried using the SAM method

Only to find out that this method no longer worked because Apple fixed it.


So now i am sitting on an Apple Iphone4S with IOS 5.1.1 that cannot be used in Malaysia ......

And i wonder why people still defend Apple and the Iphone, and think it's so good when there is a ball and chain preventing you from sim unlocking which is SO DAMN FRIGGIN easy on the Android such Samsung Galaxy S3 ....

My latest experience has just only reconfirmed my opinion that Apple is such a bad smartphone os that is anal about locking you down and hampering your experience when using the phone. I just can't see anything good about it at this point

To put salt on the wound further, apple has condemned it's fans to only use their shitty apple maps app. I'm not saying they shouldn't head in that direction, but when apple still had 1 year left on their agreement with google to use googlemaps, why didn't they stick with that for 1 more year, before switching to apple maps which hopefully would be more ironed out compared the shitty state it's currently in right now ?

Apple just has 0 respect to their fans, or does not have the balls to challenge the android by making their system open like the android by removing draconic anti jail broken/sim unlocking policies that is just a killer on the apple iphone experience

Anyways.....this Iphone4s was going to my sister in law, so i'm gonna have to break the news, it may still be able to be sim unlocked if you pay oh 100-300 ringgit to unlock it ??? Fuggin bullcrap

Good thing my bro won a Samsung Galaxy Note (version 1). Just a shame though for the iphone4s haiz

maybe i got carried away blasting iphone (yes i browse around viewing the app and options...viewing the LCD quality....). it does look nice, and it has a unique way about it which is not necessarily a bad thing.

But the simple fact of the matter is, if your put into my shoes and face the same situation, you too would be pissed off beyond belief. Now i got to pay MORE MONEY for a Gevey Ultra S just to unlock sim

The android based Samsung Galaxy S3 has never at any point limited me in this way or caused such aggravation which only the iphone 4s managed to do (i assume the iphone5 has this same issues, as i did not hear iphone5 being any freer than the current status quo)

Not saying that the S3 is entirely open either, as their verizon model has a bootloader. But we use the international and that has no such limitations so people ought to do their research and get international and not carrier versions that have bootloaders on them

Didn't mean to go off topic. Just want to PROVE A POINT the Samsung Galaxy S3 (which i also own and is my main driver) blows away Iphone products simply because of this sort of nonsense i've shared with you people from my own experience of using the Iphone 4s.

my uncle already passed away... i'll try ask his wife what carrier it was on, maybe she can help contact the carrier to unlock this somehow i hope
