no prob mang nod.gif

Just a reminder...

before flashing.... clear cache and dalvik via CWM.

Also... after flashing to wanamlite v3.7 jb official, don't forget after booting up, to factory reset using this method
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.p...84&postcount=15

then boot up again, then restore apps with Titanium Backup nod.gif

i get a message though that it skips whenever i try doing it via cwm hmm.gif

QUOTE(drumhitz @ Sep 24 2012, 10:02 PM)
1) Whats the diff between official Poland and official Malaysia later? should we wait for malaysia's later or flash Poland now also can?

My guess is the modem is for poland. But there is no reason why you can't change the modem separately after flashing the rom. Also the stock rom modem usually works. Although from what i am told it's not optimized for Malaysia.

QUOTE
2) I have rooted and using siyah kernel on stock ICS.. need to backup before flash this new rom?

Siyah hasn't made a kernel for this new official jb yet. don't use siyah for now is my recommendation. Wait first for Siyah to comment on if it work or not.

QUOTE
3) whats the diff between titanium backup and nandroid backup? I used titanium backup apps and system data, is it enuff oledi to flash the new JB rom?

just use titanium backup for applications with data only (not to be confused with system data which is something else).

I never bother with nandroid :/

QUOTE
4) Im using PC Odin, if flashed the new JB rom, it will be un-rooted right? so can i root it again using CF-Root-SGS3-v6.4?

It won't be unrooted, assuming the root method you chose is same like mine which was CF-Root with Odin 3 (PC).

Really thanks guys.

how to replace it?
*
scroll up follow my instructions. tested working method nod.gif

wanam by the way released 2 versions.

the first was the regular official jb leak which he deodexed.

the second one which i'm using is his wanamlite version of the official jb, which has his usual tweaks.

how am i gonna wipe with stock rom ? cos no more cwm:(
*
step1: root your phone if haven't. use CF-ROOT with Odin3 (pc) method.

This ought to give you CWM o.O; cauz your saying you don't have it ... so i would think you need to re-root your phone again, because you should always have CWM, and if you don't have it, usually means you got to re-root...

step2: boot up to CWM, then factory reset, clear cache, then clear dalvik. Then proceed to install the new wanamlite XXDLIB rom jb release.

step3: when your booted up just skip the settings, and just factory reset using this method
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.p...84&postcount=15

step4: boot up phone, do the necessary setup. Install titanium backup via googleplay, and recover your apps with data (not system data which is different). Do the other tweaks for your phone settings you normally do ....

(optional) you can check your apps one by one to be sure their all working and setup right ....

done and done sweat.gif

the problem is i need to be in stock rom cos i need to send my phone to repair the sim slot tomorrow:( what shud i do to full wipe the custom stuff and stay the fresh stock phone?
*
oh... you want to keep stock ah...

just now i saw it mentioned wanamlite, so i thought you wanted to use custom mod.

you will need to go back to ori firmware, and to unroot your phone. google the guide on how to unroot.

There is no way you can get jb official unless you use stuff like CWM. so my suggestion is use the latest ICS firmware for the S3, since you will be sending it back for warranty.

QUOTE(waveweaver @ Sep 24 2012, 10:55 PM)
Get our official stock M'sian firmware from Sammobile. (DXLH1). Then flash that firmware using PC Odin (no need to wipe or do anything). You will be back to normal M'sian firmware without all those root or custom rom/kernel anymore.
Now safe for service centre  laugh.gif

Don't forget to use triangle away to remove the counters (counters count up in number to show that you modified your phone. So triangle away resets it back to zero, to hide that you had ever done any modding on your phone)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1494114

Summary:

1. unroot - Check google for how to do this using a youtube guide preferably
2. use malaysia stock firmware ICS DXLH1 which you can get from Sammobile
3. use triangle away to reset your counter
4. factory reset using this method
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.p...84&postcount=15
5. go to the store tomorrow and keep a straight face brows.gif

All done thumbup.gif

In a 12 hours 36 minutes period .... my phone went into deep sleep for 11 hours 42 minutes since i unplugged my phone from charging, and let it idle.

This was my result back when i was using Wanamlite Jelly Bean v3.5 leak, with Siyah Kernel.

I did not use any third party task killer app. However i did use GreenPower nod.gif

QUOTE(rickk @ Sep 25 2012, 08:15 PM)
Anyone pls....? just copy the whole titanium file to sdcard will do...?  icon_question.gif
*
You can change the folder location where TB saves it's backups locally on your device ....
CODE
TB >> preferences >> Backup settings >> backup folder location
laugh.gif

When you install TB, it will auto cr8 a backup folder on your phone SD called titaniumbackup
CODE
/storage/sdcard/titaniumbackup

Yes you can select all the files WITHIN this folder, and cut, and paste into the new folder where tb backs up to the new backup folder location you changed from internal to external....

Usually after i wipe my phone with factory reset, i would use airdroid, and copy the contents from my dropbox, and move them to the titaniumbackup folder on my phone ....

Then i startup TB and click restore apps+data ....

Thats how tb works cool.gif

PS: my recommendation, you need to be more independent and check all the options in TB to have a better self understanding of what they do. If there is something that is not too obvious like "should i integrate tb into dalvik ?" those kinds of questions ask.

But questions like "how to change backup folder?" these are more obvious and you would have known yourself had you properly checked the options before asking sweat.gif

can't even find the solution =_=

hm... all i can suggest to you is follow the steps i did. Do not skip any (except the stuff i labeled as optional), or do out of order than i've listed...

1. Download this, and move it onto your phone download folder using airdroid. Or you can do via dropbox method if you prefer, although that uses extra steps to do rolleyes.gif
QUOTE
WanamLite XXDLIB V3.7 Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean Fast & Smooth
http://wanamlite.com/#

2. boot into CWM. factory reset, clear cache, and clear dalvik ..... then install the wanamlite rom zip. When it says reboot, do so.

3. Upon start up, just skip all the settings. Then use the factory reset method here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.p...84&postcount=15

4. boot up phone again, do your settings properly... setup your wireless settings and google account most importantly.

Go to googleplay, download airdroid, and titanium backup.

depending on how you backup, either tb to dropbox, or tb to ext sd, recover your app+data (NOT SYSTEM DATA which is different, and not recommended at all), do the appropriate steps. I think you should be familiar with how.

5. (optional, although i recommend it), open all your apps one by 1 to turn them on.

6. Reboot. ALL DONE !!!

s memo should be there, and google now SHOULD work nod.gif

if it didn't then i really have no idea sweat.gif

but now really like wanamlite, prefer checkrom
*
oh you using checkrom ah hmm.gif ... hm whats the difference ? only the kitchen app ?

could your problem be because your TB was trying to recover a backup of google now ? Does that make sense hmm.gif
