the water coming out so little lea comparing to the flow and bubbles inside the pump + those water flowing out from the cup.
since the water inside the cup flowing so kuat why the outlet there so little and soft water coming out @@.

yea.. it is pretty strange u know.. i suspected maybe blackage at the outlet. so i opened up and there was no blockage what so ever.

it's pretty irritating u know!!

my water can't be that bad, that the skimmer has to produce so much skimmate right?

ya ur tank is new and added v new skimmer. impossible to generate so much of skimmate.
maybe ur skimmer faulty gua.
i never heard of this problem before.
chill bro. stay calm and check out for a period first lo.

yea.. that's y.. i'm goin back to the lfs tomorrow to change this shitty skimmer!

3" DSB and first 6 kg LR to help cycle the tank..

as i mentioned that i'm not in a hurry, i didn't use any additives for bacteria.

i almost forgot, tank dimension is 4x2x20" = 100 gallon.
currently running 1 canister filter will be adding another soon.

as for me, i dun think i need chiller coz temp at my palce on hot days is 27 and it get's as low as 25.5 on a good day..


oh, i've solved my protein skimmer issue and now cycling for a month until i add another 10 kg of live rock.. will be updating.

aiyaya. wats the problem v ur skimmer previously?

no la.. thought i have aircond, i seldom turn it on.. my house is in a hilly area right beside the FRIM reserve forest. the environment there is is quite chilli moist too. so, most of my windows are always open and mosquitto netted..

but soon i'll be moving to gotong jaya. our new bunglow is coming up.. there the temp drops to 22 liaw..

the skimmer i think something wrong with the impeller la.. the lfs exchanged for me... so it's all good now..

now scouting for a canister to add on to my new SW tank.

hey one more thing i wanna ask u, in the first badge of LR i bought, it came with some shell fish (i think) that has been goin aroung in my tank at night leaving trails... are they parasites that i shud remove, i can just let them be?

if fish i think ok ler.
invertebrates might harm ur future live stock.
if is the PODS i mentioned then its good.
go observe wat they do usually? =)

because out there has LFS selling clam aso but nicer one. but afraid it will eat ur fish.
last time i have a hermit crab in my tank and when i off the light it starts its activity and my clownfish was lying on the sand sleeping and then became its meal ==.

My wife damn gila.. she can't wait to put her percula clown fish in the tank..

i told her that i need to cycle the tank but she dun wanna listen.. damn irritating.!

haha then tell her wait for sometime and buy her dozens of small percula la. haha.
based on my opinion i think those clam u found might eat ur LS ^^
