Erm guys I need help.

Success in redeem the $25 credit, after i buy one or two apps in the store, i get ths error

Your payment could not be processed at this time. You may receive an email asking you to verify your account.

I've tried steps like clearing playstore data, all the google services data, remove google account and readded and reboot but still the error insisted on staying.

Any one encounter this before? I want to buy apps sad.gif before the 0.25cent promotion runs out.

I did check my gmail but there's no such thing as email to verify my account. - except for apps puchase/cancelation email.

Nobody encounter the same problem as me? I still can't get pass the error message when processing payment. Previously after I redeem the 25 Usd I managed to buy asphalt but after a while I can't even buy anything sad.gif

And why I feel that flux kernel is more battery consuming cmpre to stock kernel? Hmm.

Not so sure about you guys, but I'm on paranoid v2.16 from day one. No problem with laggingness.

Only issue is when I reboot sometimes I cannot then on the WiFi. Fix it by rebooting again. Not a big deal because this device is fast even on start-up and boot time is amazing too.

BTW I'm using faux kernel. smile.gif

Hey guys, is the Nexus 7 good at handling documents? As in, smoothness and all. Specifically PDFs, PPTs and .doc. How do they compare to the iPad (which is undeniably the benchmark)? As in, is it smooth while panning around? Pinch zooming? Flipping pages?

On my Galaxy Nexus, they all appear to take some time to render. ezPDF Reader has a crazy long rendering time, while Adobe Reader is still ok. So I was wondering if it's a hardware thing (Galaxy Nexus vs N7 vs iPad) or an app thing (diff PDF reader).  If there's an app that can handle documents smoothly I'd gladly consider, coz I've invested too much into the Android ecosystem, and would hate to start all over again on iOS.

Hey DJ glad to see you here. My sifu at desire z thread. smile.gif

Documents file so far I have no problem with either kingsoft or office suite. Both are still lacking such as kingsoft is abit lagging in handle big excel files meanwhile officesuite is smooth but lacking features.

Ezpdf is bad at rendering in my opinion. The UI is nice but it just too slow even on nexus 7. I use beam reader, even the free version render very fast. Only downside is the UI, but I can live with that. smile.gif

Never really try iPad for documents but I've seen one of my buddy use it while we playing board game to read the manual, compares to my old tablet which running at one gig and on tegra 2, his iPad render pretty fast.

Eh guys scratch every PDF reader you ever tried. Ive just tried Solo PDF Reader, it works very great on Nexus 7. Fast and quality render smile.gif

i hate how Nexus7/Jelly Bean sets the wallpaper for the system.

yes, in the grand scheme of things, it's a very trivial matter, but wow does it blow.
it keeps forcing me to stretch images across the screen. horrible.

for those who want to use static wallpapers and also dislike the way JB does things, PicSpeed works great for me: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?...e=search_result

if you have a wide wallpaper, it'll allow you to use the entire wallpaper on all of your homescreens, and not just stretch a small portion of it like what the stock JB app does doh.gif

but other than that, good lord i LOVE this device!
never was a fan of the 7" tablet, but this device has changed me.

and going back to ICS/iPad is just so horribly boring.
Google Now is just brilliant.

Hey man thanks a lot for picspeed. Works wonder. Finally no cropping needed for wallie smile.gif)

Now seeing how far the battery can go.

^ I recommend that kernel too.

been running Clemsyn kernel for weeks. no issue whatsoever smile.gif only issue is that my device is a lot smoother then stock kernel. Especially multi tasking.

Try to torrent using Nexus 7. You can get your anime/movies/drama within minutes (if you're on Unifi of course) plus in HD.

wow have many kernel to use...which one mostly stable and will not harm my nexus...anyone in this threat already to overclock yours? and how is the benchmark it is more than 20% up performance or just so so only...can i use this kernel at my Samsung Galaxy W and my zenithink china tablet?
*
You have a lot to learn my friend. Don't be lazy smile.gif

to get you started.

1) Which kernel is the most stable for your Nexus 7? - you have to tried it yourself. Every device are indeed the same but the hardware capability in taking higher clock processing speed is different in each device. Therefore some of us probably have witness artifact at 1800/700mhz speed but some of us might have not.

2) Is everyone in this thread have already overclocked their Nexus 7?
- Most probably yes if they're using custom rom/kernel. But I doubt most of them run at the level of 1800mhz.

3) How is the benchmark?
- Difference by a lot. Without a hard overclocking kernel our N7 are behind HTC One X and Asus Transformer Prime. But once you get on into a custom modded kernel for our devices...behold cool2.gif

4) Can you use that kernel on your Samsung Galaxy W or your china tablet?
- No.no.no.no. Unless you write the kernel yourself..still it won't run. Trust me. no.

I think many nexus 7 user are galaxy nexus user.
Where its a habit n must  to flash custom kernel to improve galnex.

Nex7 actually very smooth n fast due to quad core n jelly bean.

Tried the cna rom, Franco, and motley kernel.
Really feel no noticeable difference for smoothness. Like same only. Any effect may actually be placeboo. The difference I cn feel is motley make tab hotter when play game.

Just share my thoughts.
Feel free to explore urself.  Have fun flashing.

Try multi tasking heavily, you will feell the difference.

Most of those people are android users that are used to heavy multi tasking. They can feel the difference because they're used to smoothness on their previous tablet. Even before Nexus 7, there are many other tab that can bring the same buttery effect. What's beyond that is gold.

Thats why there's this stable normal kernel, highly tweak kernel, highly over clocked kernel and battery saver kernel.

Try running 10 torrents, video player running HD movie, few tabs of browser, Facebook and Twitter apps, lots a widgets, of course one or two game running. And background app such as gmail, whatsapp, Skype, Google+, etc

Android is different then windows. It makes no sense to have multiple game running at the same time on a PC. But it make sense on android. Because we can.
