Hey guys, is the Nexus 7 good at handling documents? As in, smoothness and all. Specifically PDFs, PPTs and .doc. How do they compare to the iPad (which is undeniably the benchmark)? As in, is it smooth while panning around? Pinch zooming? Flipping pages?
On my Galaxy Nexus, they all appear to take some time to render. ezPDF Reader has a crazy long rendering time, while Adobe Reader is still ok. So I was wondering if it's a hardware thing (Galaxy Nexus vs N7 vs iPad) or an app thing (diff PDF reader). If there's an app that can handle documents smoothly I'd gladly consider, coz I've invested too much into the Android ecosystem, and would hate to start all over again on iOS.
ipad is pretty much useless in handling pdf.
my gf got lots of lecture notes wana send into ipad to read.
download pdf app#1, send one by one using wifi. bloody troublesome.
need long press hold, slowly organize into folder until she got bored.
suddenly heard pdf app#2 is better, install and try, omg...all the pdf sent using pdf app#1 not detected by pdf app#2
all the pdf app use in app wifi transfer to receive from pc. and their not detectable by other apps. and need send 1 by 1.
how is this useful i have no idea. and those are paid pdf app sumore. sweat max.
at that time i was using tab10.1, just drag and drop all her pdf notes (already organized into folders) into it.
bam, works like magic. but that tab10.1 laggy la, slow to open and scroll.
nexus7 very fast and smooth, but the screen small.
i tried alot android office app.
the fastest one is office office pro hd.
all app when you scroll/pan, text will blur, but went you stop scrolling,
quick office pro is the fastest one to clear up the text. the time is almost instant.
