Based on my experience, bottoming will land u more patins then mekongs.
If wan play dedak using spring it's advised to use floaters if the pond permits the use. Got two style of playing:
1) fixed floater by attaching the float direct to the swivel or using a dropper loop with one end as the floater or
2) live floater like at BSR where the floater is attached to the mainline with a stopper somewhere along the line based on the water depth.
when playing float its crucial that u make sure it doesn't wobble around or float away in the water. If not ur dedak will spread all over the place then lesser bite rate. Haha
A strong braid with hook can be attached to the bottom of the spring. Length of braid approx spring length. Can attach pellet to the hook like what bro $1 said or leave it empty. Concept is catfish eat by suction, so when they suck the dedak it will suck together the hook inside.
My 2 cents opinion. Btw what this pond name? What the charges
I see. Thanks for the info. Probably try bottom as I will be going at less then an ideal time and the noon sun is hot. If fails, will try float.

Mixing the dedak is another issue. haha wish me luck.
Pond is called Legasi Fishing Pond at Sungai Plong Sungai Buloh Behind Honda Showroom.
Apparently jsut opened from the 9th of Sept. Fee is $30 for 5 hours. Seems pretty cheap. Maybe to attract new customers....I'm hoping anyways
