Single hooks only. Dont use heavy line, kill the fun of the fight. I usually go with 6lbs.

150 for fishing - 50 deposit will be returned after fishing is over.
30 for food.
Catch & release.

Sadly, no one took pics hahaha. Fishing was quite satisfying. Snapped my line on my last fish, felt like a big toman.

My bent toman of the day.

also, any idea when/if the lexa and 2013 inshore BCs will hit our shores, pls?

Bro $1 ... i'm interested in the bent minnows. serdang/cyberjaya/puchong/PJ are the areas i frequent.
thanks
*
I also keen on the lexa, both spinning & bc. Very impressive review on casting weightless soft plastics. EBay prices seems fair at $99 - $112.
Lexa 100HS bc and the lexa 2000 spinning. If you keen, we can order in together.

Noted on the bent minnow, you want which size? 86mm or the 110mm?

Daiwa USDM items are usually cheaper in US rather than here.
Even Zillions are cheaper there than here hehehe.

JDM daiwa are cheaper here.

Lexa is for US market replacing the TDA, it will rival with the Curado G. IF Curado G can get as low as 350,.. expect similar price range for Lexa.Just my prediction.

go once a month ok geh. When its really boring and no where to fish, and OFD kicks in,.. Jpond and exotic is the answer lo.

Another reason why we like Jpond is also because its pretty much snag free for out cute small reels and 4-6lbs lines. Of cos,... I will also go there to test gears and lures.

Next time we try morning game, some times better bite rates in the morning.

Light gear cheap ma... you should have brought Emily's polaris rod to fight those toman. sure stim!
Okuma Nemesis II rod 6-12lbs only RM90-100
Get a 2000 size reel,.. doesnt matter what brand as long its smooth.
Spend on good expensive leader & main line. Kau tim,.. go PB hunting and Jpond OFD

i sure hope so, bro
tacklewarehouse RRP is $140.00 ... if we can get it for RM350 ... woweee ...
i'm surprised no tackle shop has the 2013 inshores (BC+spin) in stock yet
surprisingly one klang shop has the inshore spinner in 4000 size ... kinda tempting but too big for me ... for now
*
Bro,

This the best price I found on Ebay with reputable sellers. But the price doesnt include shipping back to KL.
Since reels are pretty much light,.. VPOST probably cost SG$80 or so by volume metric. The more orders we can get the cheaper shipping divided among all.

Baitcasting
Lexa100 (All models) - USD105.50 - RM337.60
Lexa300 (All Models) - USD165 - RM528

Spinning
2000SH - USD112 - RM358.40
2500SH - USD112 - RM358.40
3500SH - USD122 - RM390.40
4000sh - USD122 - RM390.40

As soon as the Lexa arrives,.. I will off load one of my TDA Super tuned.

Folks,

Can i pls see some sincere interest in buying the Daiwa Lexa from Ebay?

1) Acheong - 2 Lexa 100H / 1 lexa 300H
2) Max - Lexa 4000SH
3) Rory - Lexa 100H
4) Dan - Lexa 100HL / Lexa 2000SH

Daiwa Lexa Specs

Anyone else??
Like my TDA super tuned, i think this Lexa & like the Curado is a good workhorse keeper. Should be worth for those want to venture into the BC world.

The more the merrier, we can save cost on shipping.
Decide quick,.. I will PM you the details of payment.
Since it will cost few thousands I may need to collect deposit upfront.
US shipping is Free.
Shipping from US will be via VPOST to KL with 30% discount using Maybank Cards.

Terms :
1) First $ collection will be the full price of the reel
2) I will cover the shipping and divide among everyone.
3) Full transparency of documentations and invoices will be emailed out
4) Remaining payment of the shipping to be paid upon collecting the reel.

Toman like super shinny lures. Silver and bling blings is da best.
Toman active hours are morning before 10 and evening from 6pm onwards.
If you dont get anything by the first 45 mins,.. switch to soft plastics. Move around the pond and target those splashes.

1$, nope, im not in for the Lexa. I visited Young Trading in Pudu just now and they told me it might be coming in a few months time.
*
Thats good news! Lets see if its any cheaper here, it TCE brings in,.. I expect US to be cheaper.
Only concerns about buying from US is the warranty, need to ship back to US.

Just sharing my experience, my TDA, KL cheapest also 400 bucks and thats already second hand,...
I paid RM280 and about 50 for shipping. Still cheaper and its brand new in box.
Zillions here going 1k - 1.2K,.. ebay NIB can get like 700-800 bucks.
But those are all active biddings where its all luck and gamble. Been monitoring tackle stuffs on ebay for months. Daiwa is way cheaper in US,... just not those Japan models like Alphas, Pixy, MB, ... those can get cheaper here in KL.

Dont waste time on Shimanos on Ebay,.. KL way way cheaper. Unless you want a particular US model,.. like the Chronarch. No longer available here.

Dont need to be a pro to use 6lbs la... anyone can use, just need to reel and pump the fish in slowly. Let your drag do its job to tired the fish down.

Welcome Bro Xenon,

First set a budget,.. then easier to work from there. You DONT wanna start with those really low end casters like relix & awashima.

Pro-Max is a good start, for the similar price Shimano Caenan is another good choice.
Rod - get a 6ft at least, for toman and haruna hunting,.. safe to stay in the M - ML any where starting from 8lbs - 20lbs or anything in bwtn. 8-16lbs would be good. Majorcraft Basspara RM220 6'3"
Else hunt for the Okuma Nemesis II 6-12lbs or the new Shimano Vengeance.

Line - If you are just going to pay pond,.. 10lbs line is good enough. If wild hunting go for 15lbs min all the way to 30lbs, dont buy cheap lines,... lines determine and decides your fate on landing the fish or losing an expensive lure.

Lure - so many options from replicas to the real deals,... i generally stick to those within 10-30buckaroos,.. well i have some MB and jackalls but never really use em.

What soft plastic did you use? White grubs?
You used normal J hooks or jig head?
*
We usually use Jighead.
Grubs/worms/minnows/ shad softies all works.
for gurb and worms I use off set jighead hooks.
Minnows and shads I use the normal straight jigheads.

Quite shiok one,.. they will bite and nibble, need to wait till they get the hook.

Ok noted on that.

My budget is RM400, stretch up to RM500 max.

I Live in Segambut, so Kepong Tackle is near my house (read somewhere that the price is cheap and a lot of variety).

On the Abu rells tend to corrode in saltwater, is the any other substitute product for Abu promax (other brand) that can sustain corrode? i might going for ocean fishing tho.  tongue.gif

Added on January 3, 2013, 5:32 pmJust to add, what means by gear ratio?

For instance
7.1 : 1
6.3 : 1
4.9 : 1
*
Very big misunderstanding on saltwater corrosion. Actually,.. any reels can be saltwater friendly, you just need to TAKE CARE of the reel. wash it after every fishing trip. Use luke warm water, dont leave it over night,.. salt will start forming into crystals. Even paid ponds water can be bad for our reels,.. those chicken spare parts, rotting dead fishes inside,.. try taking up your reel the next day and take a good sniff! rclxub.gif

Gear ratio is the speed of the crank.
7.1:1 means 7.1 cycles each time you crank a full circle on your handle.
7 and above is high speed - good for covering areas fast. TOman and peacock love fast actions. Minnows type of lures at its best
6 is considered normal speed - multi purpose from popper, spoon, SP, jerkbaits
4 is for cranking and deep diving lures, shads, buzz baits

For Bass Pros Anglers:
when they are on the boat hunting in a lake, they will use 7 ratio to cast far to test water and fish activity. saves them time and dont spook the fishes with the boat.
Once they find the lubuk or home,.. pros will switch to 6 ratio for top and mid depth.
After they clear the home,... switch to 4 to crank deep for those bigger fishes.
