guys, need some suggestions
my civic EG is equipped with 2" pipe ori route + 1 bullet + tanabe hyper medallion non jasma.. engine is sohc non vtec, n apexi pwr intake
how do i make the sound not loud, esp. above 3K rpm, and make it rev lower to achieve 120kmh[currently 3.5k rpm]?
im thinking
1. use ori airbox back
2. add another bullet/or whetever u call it
3. soundproof my cabin n dont give a damn to the noise

if u like to high rev the engine, there are 3 ways.
1. i suggest u go for a 4-2-1, a midbox slightly in the middle of the car (abt 1-2 feet away for the flex joint) and a rear muffler (again s-type for auto). this will help ur high end and top speed but not make it undrivable in town.
hmm, jaafar at jfa sunway made this setup for me, as i was wondering on why he installed a bullet few inches away from the flex joint. now i get the idea.
however im thinking to reduce the noise level as im using 2" pipe, 1bullet n a tanabe non-jasma approved (ori, oval n-type).. aside from custom made a silencer or sell the tanabe n get twinLoop, is there any other way?
i doubt i can install another bullet as the 1st one already at the center of the car

*car is civic eg sohc non vtec 1.6

Sup guys.
Been wondering, whats the metal flat plate think called at the muffler tip, silencer?
Does that thing really help reduce noise?
I got my tanabe H-medalion used, so it doesnt come w/ that plate.
Im getting old now and my exhaust sound can be heard from miles away when cruising on PLUS.

silencer lor... if not wad flat metal plate??... unsure.gif
*
so i believe its indeed silencer
but keyword google didnt bring me to performance test on such thing.
how does it fares in terms of noise and performance when travelling at high rpm with this thing on vs off?

i heard we can customize this. so what material preferable?
my other option is to dump this medalion and go for twin loop or anything similar, which the offset spending will be higher

*my car is an old D16 engine, so cruising at 110kmh the rpm sits at 3.2krpm

Say, for my case where D16 engine mods not that popular in JP/MY, what kind of extractor should i look for and where?
I've been using 2" piping for years and since 'ade rezeki' recently, i think its time for me to change the extractor.

*im using 1.6L SOHC D16(me516) efi in a civic eg, manual.
**the only headers i can find are by US tuners (DC, megan, etc etc)

***oh, i have PM'd kweng for his oppinions

Bro ijam! Remember me? Long time no see. Why wanna change your extractor? Bocor edy ka? Use stock extractor can already...just redo your exhaust system after the extractor. Need more info, call me la. Belanja minum ke tongue.gif

Ala, ingat aje wave.gif
Just that i have been too busy since the last time we met, and I got posted overseas for a while.
Thats why menghilang kejap.

Anyway, theres nothing badly wrong with the extractor, but last 2years it did leak, and dah tampal.
considering its already entering its 13th year, maybe mau kasi improvements over stock.
I already did my 2" piping, 1 ketul bullet and now w/ imitation twinloop.

BOT maybe? but for now i wont be going B-series route unless my engine died miserable death
(halfcut price already reach ridiculous pricepoint for olde engine)

*do we actually have DC,skunk2 stuffs here?

Oic...wahh...got bring back chocolates for me or not? LOL! DC kena order bro. Skunk2 got...N1, JC, Pentagon to name a few. Oh in that case, can change your manifold edy lor...or better still, B18CR thumbup.gif  laugh.gif Any problems with your current exhaust setup? Top speed, pickup, FC all ok?
*
I came back late last yr.. currency exchange was bad, bawak body je balik.

Skunk2... N1.... hmmm.... need to do more header research..
B18Cr sounds nice... but engine swap+overhaul cost too much these days. While i do like to feel the power of vtec, but a slight improvements on my daily ride would be sufficient. I'll save the monies for a new better car.

No major issues with the system. For my current setup, Topspeed UP and pickup DOWN abit after i change from noisy straight flow Tanabe to replica twinloop. FC wise, rm10 only go 60-75km full city driving on both muffler =___= w/ once a while spirited driving.

With the error code, you can go troubleshooting.
thats what the error codes are for.
Once done troubleshooting, you clear the error codes

and once reset, the ECU will self relearn.. it will be sluggish at first. but after a few session, the ECU will relearn from all the sensor inputs
