i juz realized my powerzone extractor piping size was much bigger than superstreet and hotbits..some people told me my powerzone one cant get the good pick up and top speed.
*
yup...dats y people said hotbits for more to pick up, n powerzone more to high rev.... powerzone stuff r all matchup.. not sure ab others but for 4g13/15 is like dat. they manipulate wat they hav on drag race to wat they sell... basiccally, all their cams, extractor, head job, plenum, piping, r towards max feelin at 5k rpm...

Is there any aftermarket carb for magma 4g15?

*
who is d installer / tuner?

some forummer suggest u to try mugen twin loop style muffler

QUOTE(vr2turbo @ Dec 27 2011, 04:40 PM)
As far as I know changing the rear sports muffler back to original will make your high end slower as exhaust gas cannot go out fast enough. Maybe change to a quieter sports muffler mentioned by the members....
*
i think his problem kinda major.. lol..even wit 2 muffler n s flow muffler, his gf still complain its loud.. icon_question.gif icon_question.gif

I'm planning to go 2inch piping from down pipe to muffler. One shop quote me 750. Is this acceptable? Or the price is too high? No mid bullet, just flexible pipe, sst pipe and muffler.

wow..been reading a lot for exhaust setup till i screwed myself! too much different opinion here n there shakehead.gif  rclxub.gif shakehead.gif  shakehead.gif rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif
By the way, i can see a lot of forumer in this post seems knowlegedgable, which i hope can help me finalize my decision before i bought any exhaust system.

I'm driving a manual tranny Persona Campro IAFM, and currently looking into better exhaust system fits. Currently i have a free PZ 4-2-1 extractor inside my garage, which is hoped to be used in my final decision on this setup. As, i have financial problem to grab full system from PZ, can u guys recommend me best exhaust setup for efficient performance/FC?

Few notable concerns:
1. should i change my piping size to any bigger?
2. y should i select straight bullet instead of spiral? what is the recommended inlet and outlet size for this?
3. does the bullet's location affect the torque/hp?
4. which muffler suit me best, as i'm looking for a deep bass sound (not too loud ofc)? does i have to find an exact inlet size as my piping as well?

Thanks sifus.
*
1. maintain ur piping
2. spiral r more suitable for extra large piping. straight flow midbox will b better choice. recommend topcat /matola/ everco (any branded local made)
3. depends d size of d midbox / bullet. generally, d manufacturer's midbox location r good for daily drive
4. MOST of muffler u gonna find is 2". d best is still same size wit piping but vry difficult to find. use straight flow. wit stock piping size, u wont suffer any noticable low end drop..

Thanks for your feedbacks. smile.gif

For item 4, does the sounds is loud if i use straight? Anyway, seem like the choices for muffler varies from person to person. I guess, s-flow and straight flow for muffler is not really going to impact any performance aspect, it is just the sound and cosmetics isn't it? (based on my understanding to soulfly's guide) btw, i'm thinking to grab a muffler at halfcut shop, as my budget is quite short. Any idea where i can find this? biggrin.gif

btw, i just read some articles, which said that the midbox/bullet size would impact the performance? is this true? what is the recommended size for manual persona?
*
yes. more loud than sflow.

there is slight different between sflow n straight flow. like u noe, sflow gives u more power on low or mid hp, mean while straight is d other way. if u change from sflow to vice versa, u can feel there is different although not much.

if goin for halfcut, better make sure its japang mali, wit jasma tag (ribet on d muffler).

QUOTE(amir_tengkorak @ Apr 5 2012, 03:19 PM)
S-flow and straight flow got difference.
After pasang my straight flow, low end torque macam kurang a bit..
Planning to change back to S-flow.
*
kanasai lu... u kasi besar itu piping of course la... generally, for most car straight flow muffler pair best wit stock piping..

1st, thanks _Buyer for your questions. Seems a lot similarity to my curiosity as well.

Anyway, as i read a few posts by shinjite and lowyat82 regarding his questions, I've tried to get some quotation from few local brands exhaust distributor and the price is shockingly, quite expensive as well.

By the way,

notworthy.gif low yat 82 did mention to check for some local brands' midbox such as topcat, matola etcs. Any specific reason to this? Are they really compatible with local made cars in Malaysia? inlet/outlet need to be the same as piping as well?
notworthy.gif how do we classify a good muffler? is it a must that the muffler inlet size needs to be the same size as piping or else will kacau the air flow? Btw, i saw some same inlet size with different body size. Is this affect as well? (pic included)

Thanks Otai2  icon_rolleyes.gif
ps:
1. i asked few shops while requested for price quote, and they said that lowest exists inlet/outlet for campro is 1.8" which is the standard one, not the performance one. Is this true?
2. just joined LYN, as i'm so noob and penniless to fail on my 1st attempt.  whistling.gif

if u wan cheap n cheerful, kweng shop is d way to go..

topcat/matola etc hav better inner side quality.. generally, muffler in malaysia r universal.. MOST r 2" inlet...... so vry difficult to find smaller size..

well... it all depends on which school of tuning u r at. some school tune for most little resistance to exhaust flow, some tune for best sound wave pressure, n alot more schools..

generally, people will tune for little resistance to exhaust flow.. when u r this type of school, then using 2" muffler is better choice.

generally, resistance for straight flow muffler; -100cfm or below, resistance for sflow muffler; - cfm for inner diameter divide by 2. this is rough estimation based on more well known muffler..

cfm for different piping is here..

I think you'd be better off with Everco Sunway or Supersprint (a bit expensive). Wai Heng uses crap mufflers and they just want to do your business so they can promise you all sorts of crap sh1t. Results wise might be not be what you'd like to have.
*
yup. u r right. another 1 is mfa at garage sales.. d muffler he use is quite ok among local 1.. n he is honest..

wai heng is cheap n cheerful shop.. their workmanship is good. d muffler quality r so so onli since its darn cheap n when i go there, i seldom take their advise coz they onli wan do business..

dats d reason i told noct change extractor is enough d. n change d rest onli if its lubang.

Previously play tukar2 piping and flexi pipe only..now my kaki gatal mau more low end torque..but not sure 4-1 can give better low end torque than the 4-2-1 or not..need opinions from anyone here that used both and really experimental on those two types.
*
lu sekalang mau better low end a? but u need sacrifice high end power. u ok? lol

GENERALLY, 4-1 header hav more narrow powerband...but wit proper 4-1 exhaust system, u can hav both..

Eh if the 4-1 will not hurt the low end power, then why they still selling 4-2-1 ah? since the 4-1 can get both low end and high end power?
*
4-1 exhaust system r vry hard to mix n match... like all noe, 421 header generally gibs wider powerband improvement.. 4-1 header narrower powerband..
