Agree..2 inch piping is max for 4g18p
*
I am also using 2" max for my 4G92p

HotBits 4-2-1 extractor
2" piping mendrel bend + midbullet replaces catcon
S-flow muffler, 2" inlet and 2" outlet

KAo tim, simple setup, noise is very very much softer than my previous straight flow

If your ride is modded, better brief them through as they know what setup is suited for your ride

Or probably tell them your future upgrades as well so that they can come out with a setup to suit ur mods in the future

QUOTE(clawhammer @ Feb 17 2009, 12:54 AM)
I went to 2 WAI HENG's and the first one (Setapak XIN EXHAUST) was totally screwed because their recommendation was totally wrong. The setup was noisy and the car vibrating like mad when you step on the accelerator. The reason is because of the loud humming sound from the mid and rear muffler. After that I changed to a more silent setup in Puchong where I was made to pay RM550. They re-did everything from the front till the rear and the guy also seemed to know what he is doing. However on one fine day, I drove to Cameron Highlands only to know my top speed stays at 170km/h. After that, I went to Genting and came back with a damaged/leaked mid muffler which produces loud humming sound. Not long later, my O2 sensor was broken.

In total, I've spent RM1400+ on WAI HENG but now, I don't use anything from them at all. It's only about 2-3 months and I had everything including piping changed from another shop in Ampang. This new place that I go to have better quality mufflers and are more silent as well.

As I say, what we want is different and mine at 6,500rpm is only some buzzing sound smile.gif I want a setup that is as silent as possible.
*
Mine is more of a S-flow setup as well, high revs at 6.5K really much more silent than my previous straight flow setup >_< Mine was done at a different shop, in PJ called Lai Exhaust

Paid RM4xx for the Sflow muffler, 2 years plus, now the sound still good albeit a bit noisier than b4, welding all good wink.gif

Oops...I must have mistaken someone then XD

But seriously, last time me myself also did some trial and error, wasted some cash on a fake straight flow muffler and a swirling bullet

but now not anymore, setup is nice but still can be improved later smile.gif

Bro, get a proper tuned length 4-2-1 header, good quality 1s can fetch quite a high buying price, PZ around RM500, Hotbits around RM400

If you want cheaper, get the Zenden headers

Just a change of header won't be able to get ur lost 2kg back bro
You need to do some tuning, its not just the header but ur midbox, piping size and muffler plays a role as well too (basically the whole exhaust system)

Oh even better, go get a piggyback to retune ur AF ratio and etc for take better advantage of the tuned exhaust

he wants low to mid more, so 4-1 not really suitable
tuned length 4-2-1 the best bet
