Recently WORKS engineering has the CF air intake which is more like open pod enclosed in a CF. I wonder how is it like?
Hope experienced guys can enlighten..

Should one go for just K&N drop in or the WORKS CF which uses simota?

if its enclosed and shielded, why is it still called open pod??... hmm.gif

should call it closed-pod air filter... icon_idea.gif

hi cata..the reason why it is called open pod is because it uses the normal open pod and stick it into a CF cylinder tube. LOL...
u have a point, when that happen, it cease to be open pod. LOL...closed-pod is precisely the right word.

im here to hear what the other experts have to say biggrin.gif

standard filter when old, time to change K&N lo

I have tried K&N before. After 5k driving in the city, try to dismantle your air ram or intake manifold, and try to see the dust accumulated inside.

Imagine all those dust getting ingested into your car engine, turning into carbon and sludge.

Nopes, ori open pod. I DO KNOW the difference between fake and real.

But I guess to each his own. This topic is not worth debating.

Power wont come just from air filter alone. Very minimal, unless you are driving like a 6 litre HEMI.

Internal mods and power transfer will be more bang for buck. So called 'performance' filter is a hoax.

hi, my car is a satria 1.3 injection. currently i'm using a 4-2-1 extractor (cap ayam) and replaced catcon with a straight flow centre bullet. everything else is stock. i am planning to change my muffler to a straight flow (2" inlet) , but am not sure what piping size to use from bullet to muffler? is the standard piping ok or should i use larger piping. oh ya i plan to follow original piping route and not straight piping. any advise?
