Guys, pls don mislead other user, go study abt battery first before comment, did u guys know this is 2012? Even nokia at 2006 already got the auto cut off when it fully charged , u guys stil stay on 2006 technology? Pls la it will auto cut off ur current, don believe? Try let ur connecter connect to ur ipad when fully charge, u will saw the percentage drop after certain time, after it detect at certain discharge level, the battery will auto recharge again. When charging ur ipad will feel hot, but after fully charge ur ipad wont hot even u stil plug with ur charging connector , mean it's not charging after fully charge.
It apply to same as u fill fuel at petrol station, it will auto cut the fuel to fill ur tank when it's full
actually it wasn't the matter of keep charging or auto cut off when full...
it is the matter of "
Battery Memory Effect" will cause the poor battery performance...
i'm from portable wireless devices background previously which required high battery output for full functionality and facing some failure of battery sometimes due to improper usage.
based on my experiences, i understood most of latest equipment will auto cut off when fully charged and will charge again when battery level drop to 95% (for ipad and MacBook) something to optimize the power capacities "once-a-while"... but it may "telling" the battery 95% is the low battery condition and seem the battery "remember" the smaller capacities instead from the 5% charging...
so the reasons of "poor" battery isn't the high wear and tear issues, it is because we are no activating 100% of battery chemical for the long run as we are charging for the 5% only, so battery seem that it become "lazy" as work lesser... if charge from 80/90% will "wake up" the battery which required battery to "active" all the time...
just my 2 cent from my experience...
