microsolar has extensively replied to thid in the low yat forum solar water heater...client agreed and signed off on microsokar location front of house facing east at site visit months ago...10 days before requesting installation of microsolar client again signed off that his contractor had pulled the hot and cold pipes as agreed to the front of house facing east and so the installation was on.. but on installation day we found the pipes had not been pulled to front of house but instead were left far away at new extension roof facing north ( right side of house)..we asked for client to come on site..he arrivef 1200hrs...up till 1230hrs he was still saying to his contractor that the cirrect position was front of house facing east...but then conttactor and him got into huddled discussion and then at 1300hrs he said the correct position is facing north at right side of house and we would gave to pull the pipes ourselves to front of house 15 metres away if we wanted to install at front of house face east...of course we did not want to face north..it it is stated very clearly on all our documentation and order form...basically client did not verify what his contractor had done or not done before signing off that the pipes gad been pulled to front of house face east..how can the contractor force client to change his mind at last minute 1300hrs on installation day..we had arrived on site 1000hrs and burning daylight...and then insist we pull the hot and cold pipes 15metres wgen it had been agreed this work was for his contractor to do...we have all the documents signed by client and his contractor said did not know where east is...well it is also stated front of house surely as contractor he knows where is front of house...so it is just a case of somebody trying take advantage to pressure our installers to lay 15 metres of stainless steel pipe for free...

For those who have been using solar water heater, could you please let us know how is the performance so far?
Any breakdown/issues? Can the unit last? On rainy days, do you need to switch on the electric heater and how often you need to do this in a year?
Thinking of getting solar water heater for my house - 6 bathrooms. Any suitable model?

Thanks.
