Hi,
i am using zte mf680 and win XP,
i am noob in computer stuff and face up a problem when creating dial up connection,

i choose
"connect to the internet" >
"set up my connection manually" >
1. "connect using a dial-up modem"
2. "connect using a broadband connection that requires username and password"
3. "connect using a broadband connection that is always on"
(which one should i choose)

i choose 1. dial up modem but it comes up saying no dial tone.

Besides, should i need to unplug my mf680 from usb (i close the dashboard already) before all these setup?

Thanks in advance.

Select this "connect using a broadband connection that requires username and password"
Make sure you installed the modem driver

May I know what are you trying to do? Are you trying to connect through mdma?
*
Thanks..
I installed the modem driver d, but found out that it keep switching between 3G and turbo 3g, not stable,
But my signal strength got 4-5bar (show in the dashboard)..

I read out he thread, saying that using umts2100 will be more stable, so I wanna test it out.
Is that if I wanna using umts2100, every time when I connect have to use the MDMA?
Thanks.

hmm..me too,
in MDMA, my data counters still got no data flow in both UMTS2100 or automatic, is it normal?
besides, when i open 720p video in youtube, the video becomes very laggy even though i finish buffer it.
However, it play smooth when i open it with 512k streamyx after i finish buffer the video..

I went to Korea in 2004. I tested the internet at the lobby of the hotel that i was staying. It was 10Mbps at that time when my hse was crawling on dialup via Telekom 1511 with speed of 384kbps  laugh.gif

I guess it will be something like LTE Speed of 50~100Mbps now and they use CDMA handphones which dun utilise a simcard, same as USA Verizon , even the Verizon's CDMA iPhone dun have simcard slot too, what more Nanosim  laugh.gif

you make me think of the dial up sound, rclxms.gif

1) TP-Link - TL MR3420 (Most recommended router of all-time - I love this router)
http://www.tp-link.com/en/products/details/?model=TL-MR3420
-More flexible than Aztech HW550-3G as it is compatible with most types of USB modems
-But you might face with data packet loss via its WiFi channels, so just play around switching between Channel 1/6/11 and set the WiFi to only B/G type.

-Credits to fruitie for the info posted above.

Perhaps you can read from 1st page on this thread. It given alot information
*
Yeah, thanks Daniel..
I read that thread before, but I am searching for modem router that can have direct sim sard slot, no USB modem needed..
