QUOTE(choonhuen.koh @ Sep 22 2012, 12:04 PM) Sorry if the questions been raised, mind asking how much fuel would be left in the tank when the fuel warning indicator lights up for the 1st time. About 10 litres left. About 6 is actually usable.TQ so much, jus gotten my saga n feel like wanna do so many things to it; strut bars la, led lights la, haha, hopefully i can get some infos here. In addition, i c there's a bulk goin on here for LEDs; any pics on those items, kinda interested. |

QUOTE(dares @ Sep 22 2012, 12:06 PM) Straight got EV la, since they already got gaga prototype I'd take REEV over EV any day. EV habis bateri, mati liao. Gotta spend a few hours charging. REEV? Still can fill up and jalan Btw, from my observation using realtime instant FC reading fromthe OBD2, I find that it is more efficient to quickly accelerate to the desired speed than to slowly move up the speedometer. I dont mean slam the pedal, just apply enoug throttle to accelerate at the most efficient rate. you can tell when the km/l will decrease as you start accelerating, but will then slowly increase as you gain speed. The goal is to spend the least amount of time in the phase where km/l is decreasing. After you have reach the desired speed, maintain minimal throttle to cruise at that speed. For example, one nite I got cucuk by a MPV, so I full throttle to about 120kph and after smoking him I just slowly decelerate back to 90 to cruise. To my surprise, my long term avg km/l INCREASED!! Do note the above observation is on my car, dunno if it applies to other engines and trannys Hmmmm I get what you mean because my vacuum gauge, doubles as my fuel consumption meter and if I were to plot a graph of vacuum reading against time for the two situations you've described I think accelerating harder would yield higher average vacuum. |

In my experience the final bar doesn't last long, only about 30-40 km no matter how much LC2K is applied.
My estimation: Just dropped to final bar - 12-14L left Warning light just appeared - 10L left Stranded cos minyak habis - 4L left |

QUOTE(davidke20 @ Sep 27 2012, 10:09 PM) For your information, sway bar/stabilizer bar are specifically designed to work within 10% extra stiffness of the spring. For example, if both your front springs has 200kg each, then your front anti roll bar should carry 440kg weight. So, if you go for BLM spring, which possibly the front springs compress weight could reduced to 160kg each. There is possibilities that your car may not turn in to corner correctly, you may even have problem parking your car as the spring will react weirdly on the harder anti roll bar. In the long run, the stiff part of the chassis has been focused on the ARB, where the weak part will be emphasized. Sooner or later, you may have hard time to adjust your camber. Solution: swap ARB as well? To upgrade springs from soft to hard is easier, however if you wanted to downgrade from hard to soft, that's entirely different story. So, for me/Luke to exchange spring with you isn't any problem after all, but I'm afraid it will cause you severe damage to your suspension in the future. AFAIK, BLM/FL front ARB is 19mm thick, FLX 21mm |

Okay, got LC2K report for you guys.
YAB suggested I try driving without reading the vacuum gauge. So halfway through the last tank, I did that. Disconnected the power cable for the light and covered it with my homemade Smart Tag holder (no toll on the Island My consumption has been very darn consistent as my day to day commute is very routine, I got 8.3L/100km three times in a row (see Fuelly below) . Penang traffic is heavy, and there are lots of traffic lights everywhere. I used to get around 7.5 easily last time in KL/PJ. By ignoring the vacuum gauge halfway through the tank, my latest is 7.8 Anyway when I fill my tank I always stand on the other side so I don't breathe in the fumes, but I keep an eye on the meter especially near when I expect it to trip. My warning light just came on so I expected it to trip around 28L. But when the meter went on to 29L I knew something was wrong so I rushed over and found it overflowing Will keep on monitoring the next few tanks, but for me, seems like my drive by feel is more efficient than following the vacuum gauge.
