i got my PC on Tuesday and had been driving round trip from Rawang to Cyberjaya for two days. Just wonder how's the hybrid synergy drive system works. I find that the petrol engine (orange arrow) keep kicks in (above 60km/hr) and very rarely coming out from the hybrid battery (green arrow). Is there something wrong with the way I drive?
What is the ideal fuel efficiency level? I see some of you manage to get above 30km/hr. How to do that?

QUOTE(conqu3ror @ Nov 16 2012, 08:11 AM) HSD mean it work together with Engine & Motor. If you cruise above 60-70km/h & when accelerate, engine will kick in due to engine is more efficient in high speed & more powerful. Just visit toyota site for more info on HSD. 30km/l are base on good traffic condition & driving condition(light footer). Average are 20-22km/l. I read quite a fair bit these few days on how HSD works and understand that hybrids can run on battery power alone for short distance. However, I still do not understand that why I do not see battery power (green arrow coming out of the battery from energy motor screen) kicks in to assist between 60km/hr-90km/hr even if I drive on flat highway road. Based on my observation, I can only see that when I going uphill and when I drive above 90km/hr. Having said that, sometimes that also powered by the fuel alone (orange arrow coming out from engine from energy motor screen).

QUOTE(wankf @ Nov 17 2012, 09:47 PM) Have you try the EV mode? Or your battery is below 3 bars..... No, since it can only operate at slow pace. Battery level is always high, more than 5 bars.

Probably I need to highlight this when I send it for first service on Thursday Added on November 20, 2012, 10:28 pmQUOTE(engah @ Nov 19 2012, 04:04 PM) Overall FC rate stands at 27.5km/l for 10k km. The 27.5km/l is coming from the multi information display screen or per your manual calculation? Added on November 20, 2012, 10:42 pmQUOTE(vey99 @ Nov 20 2012, 07:12 PM) hill assist has to press the brake real hard baru it switch on for a brief moment for u to move ur foot over and step accell. not useful for me so far hmm...I cannot remember if I press real hard but I think I did. I didn't noted whether there is any indicator as well but so far it did hold for seconds before I depress the oil pedal again. This post has been edited by kasumen: Nov 20 2012, 10:42 PM

QUOTE(wankf @ Nov 23 2012, 05:35 PM) Alots of issues?? huh...oh...you meant those rattling, squeaking sounds (recycle plastic rubbing against each other) and silicon smell from aircon (smell of glue which trying very hard to keep those recycle plastic together). Probably my car still new (1.5 weeks) and I am not sensitive, I don't seems to experience the issues above (touch wood)

QUOTE(wankf @ Dec 5 2012, 09:22 PM) This 9.5k is getting very wild here....just like the forest fire..I think this will end in a couple of weeks time, end of December(who knows?). So I think who ever out there thinking of buying Prius C, better make up their mind fast. Just like share market, some are luck and some are not so....those who went in the right time got it. I am not so bad...6k..hmmm....consider those only got less then mine...I am consider lucky...those who are going to get 9.5k might consider very luck. Like hitting the top of the peak but don't regret when you miss it. Coz PC is still a great car to own. Toyota should invite you as their ambassador. You praise PC on almost every post that you posted here Added on December 5, 2012, 10:05 pmQUOTE(timeonce @ Dec 5 2012, 02:23 PM) Oh ya.. QUOTE(wankf @ Dec 5 2012, 10:32 PM) Don't you agree the PC is a nice car to drive? In fact, today there was 1 Honda insight with me in line at the traffic light stop up hill. So I thought why not let see who can pick up faster. Once it green, as usual step a bit on the pedal and when meter show 45km. I look at my rear mirror, it was 4 car space behind me (working very hard up the hill). I think HCH should be better then HIH, but I still see quite a lots of it on the road recently(maybe the price and the size of the car). Any thought?? Yes, I agree that PC is a nice car to drive. When I heard that they going launch it in Msia, I told myself this is the car I wanted, hehe. HCH is crz? It only has 2 doors. HIH is a better car for someone that wants to bring more passengers.
