QUOTE(verotex @ Oct 21 2012, 09:02 PM) i have installed auto lock device, its like a plug in device and can be removed anytime you want...doors will auto lock once speed is 4 kmh. will unlock when off engine. i'm so used to auto lock as my previous vios comes standard with it. about the tree sap maybe try turpentine or maybe tar remover. can get from diy shop. don't use thinner as it will harm the paint cc. bro pls advise how much you spent for it and which workshop you have it installed thx.Added on October 22, 2012, 9:27 pm QUOTE(wankf @ Oct 20 2012, 10:05 PM) Thanks for the reply, Wan. how can one compare between Prius and Prius C really beats me...Actually I did visit for a test drive on a sunny day a couple days back. As usual, everything happen so fast and before I notice anything the test was over. It was very tempting to book it as there is a promotion starting this month until end of the year, as the SA told me that's a RM3k off for Prius C and RM2k off for Prius. Anyway next weekend I will be going back for another appointment to test drive the Prius, maybe at the same time I try to ask the SA for another test drive on the Prius C again. The only thing is holding me back is the trade in for my current car is very low, so I am trying to maths out the cost of this hybrid car down-payment and instalment. I still can't make up my mind to go for this or the Prius. And in between this two prices, there are others hybrid car which is not a full hybrid. I don't want to regret getting the wrong one later on. Any thought guys?? Currently I don't see much of the PC on the road at klang valley, did saw one last week on NPE in the morning but haven't seen one after then. Maybe everyone are still waiting for their unit to arrive. Cheers!!! they are totally different cars with different segments and pricing... This post has been edited by dtna7: Oct 22 2012, 09:27 PM |

QUOTE(cycloneopp @ Oct 29 2012, 04:57 PM) Just place an order to a Prius C at Cheras UMW showroom with Sultan. Was given 2K (October Promotion) + additional 1K discount. I also order Pioneer AVH-8450BT which will be install by UMW's outsource technician. I was told by my colleagues (ex UMW staff) that the DVD-AVN add-on are being install by the same group of peoples as well. Anyway... being told the car should be ready by next month... keeping my finger cross. Can you share how much you needed to add for the aftermarket player? was planning to change the same model as well |

QUOTE(conqu3ror @ Nov 2 2012, 12:23 AM) The big drawback for Honda Hybrid is the air con compressor off together with the engine. Imagine while driving under the hot sun, your air-con off while you stop, you be sweating & cook if stuck in the jam. QUOTE(wankf @ Nov 2 2012, 07:16 AM) Hi guys, I think you all should know that the latest new civic hybrid solves that air-con problem by adding an electric-motor-driven portion to the A/C compressor. So, at a stop, the electric compressor keeps the cabin cool. Don't want the honda ppl think that we are dump, when still talking about thing that honda had solve already(but not all models currently, only new civic hybrid launched this year). QUOTE(blu3hamm3r @ Nov 2 2012, 08:47 AM) conqu3ror: The Honda Hybrid tat u mentioned i think is old batch. My HCH dun encounter this problem even i ON the ECO function. Currently ECO function is when u press ur brake, the engine will fully shut down but ur aircon compressor is still running. U r still seating comfortable and enjoy the cold air in ur car. Yup...latest batch solved already.. Pity those previous batch owners... They've been duped by Honda who rushes out Hybrid Models scared of losing market share to Toyota |

QUOTE(wankf @ Nov 10 2012, 08:45 AM) Well that is what everyone is telling me.."why go for hybrid car when you can got 600 bucks to spend on fuel per month". But I am going for its technology and the FC its giving me, I can travel anywhere in Malaysia with it using the 600 bucks fuel money for holiday. you will have to make really really long trips to utilise that RM600/month...even with RON97 |

QUOTE(deeplydeluded @ Nov 14 2012, 12:48 PM) You have come to the right forum. Here, we will brain wash you to get a PC (if it's in your list of consideration lah...) Maintenance is even easier/lower with the Prius/Prius C with:I'm not a veteran owner, but I managed to convince myself when encountered those Qs... 1. New technology? It is not new, it's a seasoned technology. Just tell them that Prius' tech has been on for >10 years in USA, and Toyota HSD is already proven to be one of the most reliable technology. 10-yr old prius still in use reliably till this day in the states. 2. The savings may not worth the money paid? Of course you don't compare with kancil. Let's compare with Vios 1.5G (Vios beacuse those old folks usually already set their minds with Toyota)... PC 97K Vios 87K Thus, PC +10K Let's assume after 5 yrs the amount of fuel you used in Vios is equivalent to RM300 x 12 months x 5 yrs = 18K And let's assume the amount of fuel saved in PC is just 1/3 of Vios Means with the similar mileage with PC after 5 yrs: RM 200 x 12 x 5 = 12K Means you save only 6K of fuel, means PC -6K (Please bear in mind the more petrol you use routinely, the more you save with PC) So, after 5 yrs, car price + total fuel expenditure: PC 97K + 12K = 109K Vios 87K + 18K = 105K Means after 5 yrs you spent 4K more on PC (savings on fuel can't offset the money paid for the car, that's what those old folks think too) BUT, then you decide to sell your car... PC value, say 65K? (agak2 only lah) Vios value 55K? (most 5-yr Vios in mudah.my ranging 48K-53K) Minus the 4K you paid extra on PC after 5 yrs... You get extra 6K after 5 yrs for PC vs Vios Because the extra money you paid to PC partly contributes to the resale value, but extra money you spent on petrol in Vios DOES NOT contribute to resale value AT ALL Not to mention with more money you get back after 5 yrs, you HAVE ENJOYED (what Vios 1.5G does not offer): 1. extra 5 airbags 2. VSC 3. Traction control (1-3 may have already saved your life) 4. Keyless entry with push start 5. quieter rideS 6. better acceleration with reasonable top speed 7. (Anything else anyone?) Afterall, you are the one who's using the car, right? Ultimately you have to convince yourself, not to convince others... 1. Beltless operations in the engine 2. Less wear & tear to the engine, you clock 100k km in a HSD, most of the time its only 50%-70% was contributed by the ICE (RPM hovering around 1k-2k some more 3. Regenerative braking...some in priuschat never changed their brake pads in years Will add up once i can think of more...all this just spontaneously popped up my mind while writing |

QUOTE(cycloneopp @ Nov 14 2012, 06:23 PM) Drive all the way to Puchong to have window visor installed for RM230, remember to give them a call before you drop by, as I waited half hour because they ran out of stock. RM230 for a door visor? http://venttec.com.my/ ![]() ![]() Also as I mentioned in my previous post, my PC installed with Pioneer AVH-8450BT because I like their features, especially I can run several app via the screen (mind you, only limited add supported and currently it does not support iPhone 5) Here's the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qut0IE3zUyY...t=ULqut0IE3zUyY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KU-B2VcrH5M...t=ULKU-B2VcrH5M what is so special about it? I was quoted RM120 for a good quality mugen ones, colour won't fade and won't break easily QUOTE(deeplydeluded @ Nov 14 2012, 06:58 PM) hehe...sorry i'm a Prius owner...bo "C" i syok sendiri in this thread as the Prius one is so damn quiet.. |
