but for me im looking towards the feel i get from driving the car and the things i get for the price i pay

so far i find the prius is actually quite noisy when revving compared to jazz

jazz also feels more responsive. but i like the look of prius better lol.

but one thing that surprises me is that this car doesnt have auto wiper and auto lights

Driving Vios now interested with Prius C n wonder if it is wise to switch to PC. Promo is out there I can buy at RM90500 with 500 service voucher.
Definitely less powerful than Vios when I test drive it but the technology is impressive. Aqua blue is so cool!

conqu3ror, u said PC is better than vios in every aspect other than space, means, it will do better than vios in uphill climbing? i see lot of vios do pretty good in uphill climbing at Gerik-Jeli road. I remember got few vios tapau my SEG on that tough road.

I already advertised my SEG for sale on mudah, autoworld and lowyat. hope to get buyer soon. trade in value is very low offered by toyota SA. I think I have to look for buyer myself.

engah, i already find few SA that offer extra 1k rebate, means i can get 6k discount for PC, plus full tank petrol, and 200-300 tint voucher.

Yesterday I just booked one, but got 5K discount + 200 tinted voucher only

I think go uphill is about the weight for PC. aragongon had went Genting with full load 4 adult & 1 child, but seem his not happy about the power, cause keep letting other cars to cut over.

Personally for PC, you won't feel the power all becoz of eCVT, due to it is not eco/fuel save to have sudden boost/pick up. I live in Cheras which have plenty of hills, but I can easily accelerate on hill & cut across other cars whenever I want.

look like u will be saving 40% of ur fuel .. what your previous car ?

u want to buy the bridgestone tyre re080 ? i got a feeling this tyre very noisy..can hear a lot of tyre noise .. except raining ..

i am quite confused here, some said PC is on par or better than vios in term of performance.
actually i just want to tapau lorry on hill road. if you've been driving from gerik-jeli then you will know. so many lorry driving at 30-60kmh.

full loaded car climbing, even my 1.6 SEG with manual tranny also no power.
i experience this before on SEG, carry full trunk load, 4 adults and a child, in which 2 of the adults at the back are overweight. the result is, i didnt managed to do any overtaking during climbing. 

btw, when you full loaded your PC, does the rear suspension still doing well? i see vios when carry 3 adults at the back, the rear of the car tend to get lowered, same to my SEG.

  ic, prius c dont have rpm indicator. so, do u hear heavy engine rev sound when maintaining 110km/h?

im quite happy with jazz hybrid FC, slight better than petrol car. haha. to me acceleration is important when i need to come out from junction during rush hour or run a red light   

jazz back seat not only can fold down like prius c. it can fold up. if u dont how it can fold up, can go google n c. bicycle can put standing on back seat ^^ bicycle can bring everywhere

Does any one PC can get FC 48KM/L on down hill? My PC so far havent got chance to test it but my HCH just break the record of 48.2km/l when i bek from my home town Titi to KL.

I bet one of this days our car will be recall for something. Today, otw back, extreme jam, stuck for 1 hr still manage 17km/l, if it's my old car, I guess only 5km/l. But when low batt, the engine keep on kick in to recharge, very irritating....

I checked out toyota website, TRD sportivo PriusC is coming but so mahal... ~103,000.

Went for my 3rd service after doing 10k km (7months) last Friday. Waited for 5 hours to get it done, could be due to staff on leave. Will not go during holiday season next time. Opted for fully synthetic oil. Including alignment plus balancing, the bill was RM397.50. Overall FC rate stands at 27.5km/l for 10k km.

Everyone says have to get a landed property in KL. But come to think about the security, how lar? Imagine you're away for vacation? I think the thieves will party inside before stealing your stuff!

I saw the real car before, twice. Once it was in a petrol station charging. Once on the road.
The plug connects to the car looks like those industrial grade plug, like those types they use for the big car elevators in SC.
But truthfully the real car looks very nice and futuristic, both interiorly and exteriorly. Spacious.

I think Nissan is running some test project on Leaf locally. Volunteer users supposed to give feed back after a trial period.
It's a nice but unrealistic car due to poor mileage even fully charged. But somehow it has market in overseas.

No regret getting this car. My FC is significantly improving when comparing with it's earlier days.
Today I was testing on it's hard acceleration and speed while on MEX.
Test 1. Was at 90 kmph, middle lane. Some outer lane cars like H city, H accord, mod wira, new saga speeding from far behind damn fast (like 120?). So I got into outer lane and accelerated. I was quite surprised that PC can accl from 90-130 kmph like within seconds, with speeding cars from behind have no time to catch up!     
Test 2. I was traveling at about 90 kmph. A H city came very fast from behind and tail-gated. I floored the pedal. Immediately my PC distanced itself from that tail-gater. Then I slowed to 110 kmph, it took that city some time to "crawl" to my hind and tail-gated me again.        No doubt PC accl better than a regular 1.5 L petrol car.
Test 3. PC was VERY stable during the cornering towards the Putrajaya toll (from KL direction) @ 95 kmph.

After tests 1-3, FC was about 22 km/L (including some traffic within KL getting into MEX). 

Test 4. Tried to get to it's top speed. Not impressive, managed to get to 159 kmph on slight down-slope (hard to push any further but did not insist). Wind noise started to be obvious after 120 kmph. But the impressive part was that other than the wind noise, we didn't feel speeding even at 130 kmph. And even at 140 kmph, the engine noise sounds like 100 kmph of a regular 1.5 L car. 5-minute FC showed about 18 km/L! 

Disclosure: This is not my driving style, nor am I encouraging these tests. These were done to put PC into some on-the-road tests only.

And, hopefully there were no speed traps! 

Alots of issues?? huh...oh...you meant those rattling, squeaking sounds (recycle plastic rubbing against each other) and silicon smell from aircon (smell of glue which trying very hard to keep those recycle plastic together).

Well, if those are the minor issues which you're referring to or talking about. Yes, you better use another models instead of Toyota hybrid car. If not, it will make your life miserable everyday when you heard those sound and aroma smelling of glue, recycle plastic with paper and rubber. Those painful feeling which I know you will be very hard to bear with.

I vote "Yes" to you to change a different car Don't want you to suffer, bro 
If you think on the bright side. All those money you save on the fuel every month can ease your pain on those issues than consider PC. If not, forget it. That's my 2 cent.    brother.......

the problem not as bad as u all think actually, the rating sound can be hear because our PC consider no engine sound. most of the asean made car have much more problem such as gap of the assembly part. PC so far i only have 2 place got rating sound, is it consider bad? the ketiak smell not 100% sure is sillicon smell or not, but it's look like the smell like recycle material. if you always switch on the aircon while driving, u shouldn't smell it.

different people got different needs on the car, if you look for a very good fc and with those trouble free. LEXUS CT200 ?

my PC sometime ago can achieve 930km for full tank, that compensate me for everything unhappy already.

about the Sound Deadening.. i will not consider it, Sound Deadening = air deadening. if you fart in the car, the smell will forever there.. kidding... some sound is important while you driving, eg if car too close on you or people hon you.

Actually I have no doubt about Toyota quality, what I meant was Toyota might not include those soundproof stuff into PC as much like other model due to the cost of the hybrid and other cost factor which we don't know of. And the same time, the quietness of the PC had make us think those are the issues we had, which other model do had but can't be heard due to the noisiness of their engine. 

Question now is, if we add in those stuff like AutoFoam. Does it make it more quiet and can even hear a insect flying around inside our PC. If it does, then we will have more issues coz we'll hear everything more clearly(as you say "A cough during bed time is always louder than a shout at bus station".

If Toyota can organize a Prius C Mileage Challenge for the PC owner, how nice would it be....

Challenge travel from KL to JB(331.8 km) then from JB to Kuantan(361.0 km) and from there back to KL(252.6 km) using 1 full tank....total distance is 945.4km....what you guys think huh??

Anyway Hong Kong road is not like ours. Their road are pretty straight(highway) and in city have not much up hill or down hill. But I am still wondering how he make through all those traffic jam there. Every three months I have to travel there for meeting and their traffic jam is almost as bad as ours(KL or PJ).
