Yo, pls add new owner

Prius C Silver, got it on last Sat....

Just get my free Parking at PJ area for 3 mths...this morning

Good news for owners bought in PJ

The MBPJ Customer Service mention Hybrid Car, there will be free parking again for maybe existing or new owner for 2013.
Anyone not yet apply, pls apply by 30 Dec 2012

Not much long waiting to get the Parking Pass, done in less than 1 hr, instruction say not more than 2 hrs

1) Wonder y Toyota not 1 put the front sensor.....

2) On EV mode, speed must not more than 50km/h & not too much acceleration, is this speed correct?
*
welcome bro! thumbup.gif

btw, only for car registered at PJ?

i read this statement from HIH thread.. one of the FAQ answer as below..

" This is one major benefit for having Honda Hybrid car. When the battery is not longer to use, owner still able to drive the car as usual. The engine still drive as normal 1.3l as others. If compare with Toyota Hybrid, they are required battery to start moving the car. The Toyota engine will only kick in from 40km/h above. So below than that, the car will not able to drive.

my concern is it correct that toyota hybrid need the battery to start moving the car...?? i think they have wrong info about that...
*
Yes. Honda hybrids can drive the car without battery, purely on fuel. While our Prius hybrid required battery power to start the car, and unable to drive without battery pack. Thats the pro of Honda, yet also a con, where you lost the initial motive for buying a hybrid. (which is a waste)

By the way, my SA told be we can jump start our car without open up the battery pack at the rear seats. Pop the hood, and attached the jump start cable somewhere in there will do. He ask me go search in youtube (which i havent search yet) yawn.gif

i bet when PC's owner does this at road side or infron of houses, people will say ' oi, ada orang curi kereta'!!

Since we have 3 yrs Toyota Rescue, so dont bother 1st lo tongue.gif

I prefer Toyota Hybrid because:
1. Mature hybrid technology
2. Full hybrid
3. Features, spec, n safety
4. Brand

1 more thing, how is the warranty provided by UMW? 3 yr / 100k? battery pack as well?
*
Yes, 3 yrs or 100k, including the battery pack.
Good news for us, as Thailand is currently assembling Prius and Camry Hybrid, perhaps we can get battery easier and cheaper in the future biggrin.gif

Therefore Honda Hybrids go 18km/l in average while Prius C go 22km/l in average. 4km difference per liter means PC goes extra 120~160km per tank. Considering we pump petrol every week, there is at least 6240km extra a year.

One of my fren driving Insight. He personally feel not comfortable with the auto stop feature of his car. And no AC during 5pm to 7pm traffic....

generally, is that 18km/l max for them? and 22km/l MIN for PC? frankly?

My trip going to office this morning, from Selayang to Shah Alam. Slow traffic along Jalan Kuching, smooth along NKVE, mild after highway. Smooth pedaling. 29km/L
