Bro I order it from US. I use it for my Unser and Exora last time...it a good sealant.

Here how its apply :-

A simple 2-step process that you apply once a year!
After wash and clean the car do the following:-

1) Apply the Cleaner/Deoxidizer with a wet sponge, allow it to dry and then wipe it off. There is no heavy rubbing, no abrasives to damage your paint and no harmful chemicals. This unique formula thoroughly cleans the paint, removes oxidation, tar, grime and virtually anything else that has stuck to the surface.

2) Now your paint is amazingly shiny clean, smooth and ready for Diamond Shield Paint Sealant. Again, you simply sponge the Sealant on, allow it to dry and easily wipe it off. No heavy rubbing or buffing.

good workout sweat.gif then PC will be shiny for the whole year long thumbup.gif

PC is much easy to do then doing on Unser n Exora.... sweat.gif tongue.gif

Hello everybody,

Actually, I am asking this on behalf of my wife. Toyota is giving down payment rebates for 2012 cars. We are considering selling our old Waja for either a Toyota Vios J [AT] or the Prius C.

At first, we were considering the Vios J only because the model got upgraded with 2 airbags (from none) and now 15" rims (from 14"). When we walked into a Toyota showroom in Klang today, was told Vios J out of stock, waiting list very long.

We dont know how true this is but it's very possible since the Vios J after discount is now RM72k. Since Vios J is unavailable, we looked at Altis 1.8G and Prius C.

Altis is definitely out of our budget. We are looking at something below 100k and the Prius C seem to fall into place nicely with 7 air bags, push start, made in Japan, etc.

My wife is generally using it to get to work and back. Besides commuting to work, she also has to fetch our kids around town. Our kids is currently 2 years old and another is 5 months old. I think 100k may be far fetched for these 2 purposes (commuting to work and driving the kids). Eventually, she's starting her own business next year and have to move around in the city a lot more than she does not, so I think a compact Hybrid might just do the trick.

The only drawback is that Prius C interior is smaller than the Vios. Besides that, I think it wins in every other aspect. Are we making the right decision? Should we get the Vios or the Prius C? I know I'm in a Prius C thread, hope someone can make an unbiased comment to advice since we are both now familiar with cars.

Upgrading thoughts:
1. Tinting options for Prius C
2. Leather seat for Prius C
3. Body kit for Prius C
4. DVD system

Should I get them from Toyota or accessories shop outside? Does it void any warranty?

Please read back the posts, there are so many comparisons/discussion there. Just one thing: there is NO PERFECT CAR IN THE WORLD! You need know WHAT YOU WANT. Maybe you could think further of your family need for your next car: safety, space, comfort, more travel, fuel consumption, your monthly car installment vs your expense for your wife/kids etc.

If you have patience, wait for Prius V then (hope it will be introduced in Malaysia market).

Hi merchant9,

I can fully appreciate your concerns as purchasing a car is a very significant investment, more so in Malaysia due to the high cost. The problem with asking for opinions on any model of car is the same wherever you go: ask ten people their opinion, and you will likely end up with 11 different answers smile.gif

My decision to go for the Prius C was based on several factors:

1. It's a Toyota, and they have a decent reputation.
2. It's (at the moment, anyway) CBU, so hopefully it is better assembled.
3. Were it not for the government incentive, this is essentially a RM150K+ car (in Malaysia, anyway.) Malaysia may be quite unique at the moment in that we're the only country where a hybrid is cheaper than the non-hybrid model.
4. All of the glowing reports from the many happy owners around the world (and yes, I read all the negative ones as well.)
5. All of the performance figures were acceptable to me.
6. 7 airbags! Woo!

As for your questions on upgrades, it is important to remember the Prius C is a relatively new car, and as such the availability of upgrades and bolt-on goodies are a bit limited locally. As it is the second highest selling car in Japan, the market there is booming with accessories, it will just take a little time to reach our shores. I am more than happy to wait.

To answer your questions as best as I can:

1. Tinting options are the same as any car in Malaysia, from utter rubbish to ohmygodthatsexpensive.

2. I've only seen one company advertising leather interior upgrades, and at the time they did not list the Prius C.

3. I've seen Prius C body kits advertised between RM1600 to over 6K, but cannot comment on quality of the product.

4. Many report that the OEM DVD-AVN option from Toyota is problematic (it is the same model used on several different Toyota models, not specific to the Prius C) and I feel it is overpriced.

As far as warranty is concerned, according to the sales assistant I spoke with, just about any change/addition can void the warranty. Changing the rims would void the suspension warranty, installing window visors would void the door warranty... You get the idea. It seems that the general practice is to either have them installed by the service centre or to remove them when servicing the car or claiming any warranty. Naturally that isn't always going to be possible/practical, and some things don't effect the warranty (I doubt adding floor mats is going to effect the chassis warranty!)

Anyway, enough rambling. I hope you will be happy with whatever car you choose. Good luck!
