BUt I need to install some software like autocat, mcromedia and other designing software.
Which brand notebook is suitable for me and budget is less than RM4500.
256 RAM enough? Pls give me some suggestion...
now, i plan to buy Dell, but if my laptop got problem after warranty timer, so what can i do?

another 1 question, if i install other software which is not original , it will affect my warranty?

Dell Services is good. No worries if anything happens or if you install pirated stuffs. If u plan to extend the warranty, best if its done upon purchase cos its cheaper. If u extend after warranty, it will cost more and they will want to run a check on your unit before allowing the extension.

I'm using Satellite A80. this is my second Toshiba. Screen to me is nice. Performance average (Celeron) but overall for that price it is an OK package.

if you are going to use it for programming and other simulation softwares, then i would suggest u get a notebook with a decent processor + RAM (at least 1GB).
When u mean designing software, do u mean graphic designing? If so do u need a dedicated graphics card for that?
You have to decide what specifications u want for your notebook, and also whether if you have any brand or notebook size preferences?
As for warranty, Dell has pretty good after sales service. Extend the warranty to 3 years if it is necessary.

Actually i think u should have tried posting in the thread "Buying new laptop? Need RECOMMENDATION???"
