Just so everyone could settle down a bit about the LTE (main reason to change to iPhone 5 from iPhone 4, for me at least...), Malaysia's band is 2600MHz... ...but, with supplementary 1800MHz, for cross-border interfacing with neighbouring countries... As you can see on Apple's Website, 1800MHz band is supported. It's our neighbouring country after all - Singapore. So...let's hope we do have LTE comes 1st January 2013 (date mandated by the government to all the large Telcos)... But the downside to having LTE support? Well, the government do not allow earlier than 1st January 2013...so that means, we will get the iPhone 5 ON or AFTER 1st January 2013...IF our LTE is supported.

QUOTE(Rei7 @ Sep 13 2012, 07:34 PM) A big fan of iPhone here. After owning the previous iPhone 3G and iPhone 4, i'm not quite sure if I should upgrade to iPhone 5. Nothing much has changed since the 4S, oh how I wish there is more new features.. I had hoped Apple revert to tear-drop shape of the iPhone 3G, albeit, a bit thinner and made of aluminium. I loved holding that iPhone 3G in my hand...this iphone 4 only feels better if there's a case...and I don't like using cases. iPhone 5...well...thinner could pave way to thinner case...screen and LTE is deal breaker. If no LTE in Malaysia, then, I'll stick to iPhone 4...until it breaks.

Why the heck are you guys so worked up on Malaysia not being in the 1st or 2nd list? The problem is lack of stock. Apple would like to release world wide, if possible, but they can't produce 30 million devices in a short time.
Also, do all of you really want to be the first batch of guinea pigs?
