QUOTE(benny888 @ Sep 16 2012, 02:54 PM) Even iPhone n ipad you need connect with pc n use iTunes to update your firmwareAnd it is free even if you send in service center to upgrade firmware for both Samsung n apple products can do over the air now. no need iTunes my point is Jellybean is not officially available for S3. Yes you can upgrade to it but its not official and its not simple to upgrade for a normal user Oh the Samsung SA told me the price for S3 now dropped to RM1999 - good for those that wants to go Android. QUOTE(et_kt @ Sep 16 2012, 03:48 PM) Still don't get your point. If official JB is not available, obviously OTA not possible. You mean you can upgrade ios from 3rd party (if existed) through OTA? iOS can be upgraded via iCloud. Let's not talk jailbreak or rooting. Can S3 simply upgrade from ICS to Jellybean without any other extra effort? Why need 3rd party? Apple officially allows even old iphone 3GS to be upgraded to iOS 6. S3 so new also don't have official upgrade from ICS to JB This post has been edited by idoblu: Sep 16 2012, 05:16 PM

QUOTE(suntzulee @ Sep 16 2012, 04:19 PM) you can port in the number and retain yours...there's mnp and is possible. No need to port or MNP. Just go to your telco and ask for a new sim card. In this case a nano sim card. It's just like you lost your current sim card or replace a faulty one. It's just a replacement? Your phone number obviously be the same This post has been edited by idoblu: Sep 16 2012, 04:30 PM

QUOTE(et_kt @ Sep 16 2012, 05:08 PM) From your reply, obviously you can't differentiate Samsung and Google pertaining to Android firmware release. Ok la no need to nitpick. I edited my error. But I do know the difference. But lets face it, google has never allowed any firmware upgrades. This post has been edited by idoblu: Sep 16 2012, 05:20 PM

QUOTE(noobie123 @ Sep 17 2012, 01:01 AM) I just watch the keynote Tim say this gonna be the fastest roll out ever. 2nd phase gonna start 7 days later which include 20more countries I think... Just keep finger cross... Added on September 17, 2012, 1:07 amIm more worried if let say iPhone 5 launch this year then I sign the 3G contract, once LTE launch what am I gonna do? But IMO I think for mobile so fast connection means nothing since I'm more on messaging and some fb but problem is currently digi network keep giving trouble. If they can gimme a smooth line I don't think I need the LTE at least at this moment unless the price they offer is as low as 3G . Telcos they don't sell plans according to type. Like now they don't charge you accordingly if you are using 3G, EDGE or GPRS. Like now, Not all areas will have 3G. So how to sell you just 3G connnectivity? What telco sells you is data. The amount of data transfer. They don't care how or by what. LTE will be the same. Your phone will detect what's best available and use it. This is my guess.

QUOTE(sniper on the roof @ Sep 17 2012, 02:39 PM) Still weighing the pro's and con's of familiarity vs screen real estate... considering moving to Android... Xperia T. wait for iPad 7 btw bigger screen size dont mean much when you still got to zoom in. Take a look at the S3 or even Note. Its huge but you cant even make out the letters when it is at the smallest font. Try it with your iPhone.....even the smallest font is readable. In the end, you need to zoom for either iPhone or others This post has been edited by idoblu: Sep 17 2012, 04:04 PM

This is what U-Mobile have to say (but treat it like an SOP reply). I was at their Sunway Pyramid outlet, asked them about microsim card - they say they dont have microsim but will cut their normal sim to microsim. I am thinking if they do not even have actual microsim after all these years, they will take forever to get nanosim » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Thank you for contacting U Mobile. Kindly be advised that the nano SIM card in not readily available at this juncture. Please be assured that we have highlighted this matter to the relevant department for their acknowledgement and further consideration. We will notify you once we have received any feedback regarding the availability of the nano SIM card. Suggestions and feedbacks are what we look forward to as we are able to monitor our services and at the same time, keep abreast with customers' needs and expectations. QUOTE(Boykidz93 @ Sep 23 2012, 12:34 AM) Actually im disagree with you, because we pay 2k+ of coz they have to give us the quality. Even if you pay rm200, you still want a brand new looking phone without any defects. You should always check during purchase and refuse to accept faulty unit or those with defects. Remember on the Internet, people only post of their complains. If there is nothing wrong, people won't bother to post that theirs is 100 percent perfect. So what you read are mostly complains and it could even be one or two but repeatedly posted many times around the world . There are million others with no problems at all.

according to this - http://www.allbrite-anodizing.com/faqs.htmlIt says - 4. Does colored anodizing fade, peel, or rub off?
Following the dying of an anodized surface, a sealer is applied to effectively close the pores and prevent fading, staining, or bleeding out of color. A properly dyed and sealed component will not fade under outdoor conditions for a minimum of five years. Because the anodic film is molecularly bonded to the sub-strate, and this film absorbs the pigment to the depth of the coating, the colors will not chip or rub off.Strange that the anodized coating on the ip5 can chip off But if you google a bit on anodized aluminum, you'll find that it can fade and scratch This post has been edited by idoblu: Sep 23 2012, 08:38 AM
