Hi guys,

Just wondering for the previous years...usually how many days before CNY (chu 1) the jam will start?
I am planning to drive back with my friend from SG all the way to UP NORTH back home...
CNY 2013 is on Sunday...so if I go back on thursday morning...will I be caught in the jam in the highway?

Please advice as this is the first year I work in SG....no experience in the JAM trend.... hmm.gif

i go back on the 2nd day of CNY this year (after work, factory worker like me need to work on holidays). no Jam at all, Next year (2013) i will go back on 1st day of CNY morning (after work as well, working night shift the day before CNY). My aunty is married to a Singaporean, they always go back KL on the 1st day of CNY, and my uncle can speed 160-180 on highway without problem. no traffic at all. but as for before CNY, not very sure.
We dont like to take risk, we always take the safest method, go back when confirm no jam smile.gif

And I guess for this year I will have to try it out myself for pre-CNY traffic.....
planning to go back on thursday night or friday early morning.....I hope most people are still working and not flooding the NS highway though

Yes and no, I suppose. The company applies for a specific type of pass (WP, SPass, EP). In the application, the company can opt to tell MOM to "grant the lower pass if higher pass unsuccessful." Example the company could try to apply EP for employee, MOM might say eh EP cannot but I give SPass lah. But the company needs to initiate in the first place.
As a fresh grad, maybe not. As a degree holder with FIVE years experience like yourself, you should be looking at way higher than 3k which is like ... fresh grad pay hmm.gif
Half the taikors posting here like seantang, mackiddo, keelim, mercury are elites earning 15-25k+++ monthly. Don't assume that Malaysians are universally low paid in SG because of your ONE friend. Although I understand how you feel cos I am low paid bank clerk as well.

NOW you really got me curious? 15-25k SGD??? my eyes almost POP OUT shocking.gif shocking.gif shocking.gif shocking.gif

Hi all,

If my PR application got rejected, how will I be able to find out the reason?
Should I call them up or wait for letter?
I just checked online and found out the application was rejected. Kindly advise, thanks.

How long would I have to wait in order to re-apply again?

Guys i have a question, I am nearing my graduating soon and would love to work in singapore. As we know most company would at least have recruitment systems that require you to be physically there rather than conventional phone interview (not small company at least). How did you guys manage to risk getting all the way to SG and returning home empty handed?
