Hi.. since we r talking on rental, and agent thingy...
Who is responsible for the agent fee? Landlord or the tenant? What's the agent fee like? Just want to get a rough idea on these so I can know what to look into when I'm getting a room there.. Tq |

QUOTE(deodorant @ Feb 6 2013, 08:51 AM) Not entirely accurate. Normal practice in SG is that two agents are involved, the "landlord's agent" and the "tenant's agent." The typical agent fee is 1 month per year of contract (so if you sign a 2 year contract they would charge 2 months), shared between both agents, for which the tenant pays half to his agent, and the landlord pays half to his agent. Hi.. even I find those room advertised in website - property guru...?Thought those agents are the landlord agents? Correct me if I'm wrong. What about upfront payment? Deposit? |

QUOTE(deodorant @ Feb 6 2013, 09:53 AM) Normally these are not the landlord's agent. These are the landlord's agent's teammates, friends, colleagues, whoever. Once you get in touch with them then they will then represent you and therefore become the tenant's agent. The idea is that your agent is supposed to defend your interests, and the landlord's agent is supposed to defend his/her interests. Noted on that. For a 2 year lease, you need to up front 2 months deposit and 1st month rental to the landlord, and 1 month (+7% GST) agent fee to your agent. Thanks for the info. One more question, what's the utilities bill like? What are the normal amount for a house let say 4 people.. Just want to gauge the amount so when the landlord wants to include in the rent, I can know whether he/she is charging me a reasonable amount.. |

Hi everyone... I will be heading to Singapore next Monday for my job... (was supposed to start on the 1st March but they want me to start early.. =(..)
My EP have been approved... So how many days I should write down in the white card? After I get the EP, the next time do I need to queue at the imigresen or they have this fast lane for citizen/pr/work permit holder? |
