What you guys think about working at Singapore in between permanent term vs contract term (12 months)? hmm.gif

Example:

Permanent Salary: SGD 5,000.00
Bonus 2 months
House Provided
Transport Provided
Tax Free

Contractual salary: SGD 10,000.00
No Bonus
House Provided
Transport Provided
Tax Free
1 project will last around 16 months. If no new project, need to find another company.

Whats holding you back to pick 120k over 70k per year?

Given the same benefit, the salary is too far apart For same job scope. Did you forget something?

it's contract vs permanent.. may no job after 14-16 months..

so doc can examine for STD trace on surrounding affected skin. sure need to.. not forgetting the back part also
secondly, when you re-examine to renew EP after two years, if STD contracted, then its confirmed "contracted in Geylang, Spore" one

ha ha ha biggrin.gif
don't scare others lorr...

During EP renewal.. MOM will request you to undergo a medical exmination (HIV Test/X-Ray) or sometimes not require.. For the previous renewal, I did not need to undergo a medical exmination.. but this time MOM asked me to go.. maybee because I have Thai GF at Singapore.. brows.gif

not sure how truthful is this...but according to my agency, P2 and P1 does not need to go thru medical.
since EP has 3 categories...i suppose Q1 needs a medical.
*
Its depend on what stated in IPA letter..

Dear Sifus,

Anybody here working in Loyang area? Loyang Cresent to be precise. Got an offer from OnG company there with salary of SGD 7.2k but I'm not sure about the accommodation around the area. Seems like they jack up the rental there compared to other part of Singapore. Another thing, is the offer on the high side or lower side as I'm also got around the same figure here in Malaysia.
*
The figure is good.. wink.gif

Thanks for the reply. What worried me the most is because im afraid I cant save some chunk of my  salary because of the rent. Ill ask about the transportation to my company whether they provide it or not. And its not fugro..im installation contractor

Well they just revise today to sgd 8.4k. Im 26 btw but married already without any kids yet. Thinking of becoming weekend husband by flying back to KL every weekend. Would that be a good idea in terms of money saving? If I bring my wife to Singapore then ill need to rent a house whereas I could do with just a room by myself
*
SGD 8.4k for 26 years old guy... That's awesome..
Do you own a house at KL? Car? IMO if you can stand without your wife for 5 days, that'll be ok for you to become frequent KL-SG weekend traveller..
I'm one of the frequent SG-KL weekend travellers, I love to drive my car so I need to spend VEP/month around SGD 400-440/month, I'm quite lucky becoz my company provide a house at SG.. Also our office located at Tuas (near to 2nd link).. So my expendixture I capped per month about SGD 1.2k/month at SG.
As for my colleagues, a few of them stay in Bukit Indah and travel everyday by car from Bukit Indah-Tuas (1 hour travel time, 1 way), as they are receiving housing allowance, it's more than enough to cover the cost..

Don't worry to work with SGD 8.4k at SG.. As example, even if your expendixture+tax about SGD 2.4k/month.. You still have SGD 6k to bring back home.. Wow.. brows.gif
